Katy's Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Wilmington

We called in last night ordered 2 chick tender plates with fries. The service was horrible, we paid almost $12 for 4 chix tenders per plate. I mean bojangles chicken tenders are better, these were skinny, disappointing & definitely not worth a $10.99 price point. I know kids who eat more than that. The worst part is we ordered something simple thinking who could mess up chix tenders, Well its possible!! The order was wrong & we drove 30 mins for nothing!! They didn't bother to tell us it wasn’t a combo charged us another $12 plus for fries. This was the worst experience we’ve had in a while in wrightsville. After all that we spent $40 on 2 baskets of fries & 4 chix tenders. We didn’t want to go back for a $10 refund that was offered, we should have been fully compensated for a terrible 1st time experience, The only reason the atmosphere got 3 stars is because the guests were more friendly & welcoming than the staff. While the food wasn't necessarily bad, it was massively expensive for the given quality. Their advertising also has problems too - after advertising 'all you can eat' fried shrimp and arriving at the restaurant to find that the advertisement was actually false, we were disappointed to find that it wasn't even worth the price requested. Chips we're soggy with oil, the food was all bland, and the end price was equivalent to a fancier cafe rather than a cheap bar and grill.

Service was good, though a bit slow even with very few people in the restaurant. The atmosphere was closer to a closet than a restaurant, being dark, somewhat dirty, and not very up-to-date even with a supposed remodel. Nearby patrons seemed equally confused as to the quality.

This place is an old nasty hole in the wall with college kids vomit all over the floor. The jukebox card reader never working. That's if the sound system even works. Foosball table has trash stuck down the goals. The old women working here are the rudest and most unpleasant things I've ever met. The pool table is always not working and takes people's money. I called the company on the sticker Southland. They just never responded. The felt looks like someone threw up on it( see Pic) .
