I was very disappointed with the service that was provided the last time that I went here. The first time (Saturday) was amazing, my boyfriend and I went early in the afternoon, our server was polite and she was attentive as well despite the bar growing busier and busier. However, last night (Sunday) when my boyfriend and I decided to go back and like last time eat and drink, we weren’t treated as greatly. The male bartender looked my African-American boyfriend right in the eye as he stood at the bar waiting to tell him our order and purposely went over to the Caucasian man who had just approached the bar to serve him. It was rude and disrespectful, seeing as how my boyfriend had been standing at the bar longer than the other man had. We were excited to start making this our eating and drinking spot, but honestly after that incident it just doesn’t sit right with me that this bar has employees who work here who purposely don’t serve African-American guests as quickly as they serve Caucasian guests. Though the female bartender there just a day before (Saturday) was friendly and excellent, that male bartender who worked last night (Sunday) doesn’t need to be working at a place, where you’re going to be getting a mixed customer base. It’s rude and frankly...
Read moreFood is always great but was looking to grab a quick bite before heading home which is why I recommended the place and if you want a safe place definitely not the place, when we walked in went to sit down to help a friend was heavily judged and rushed out was just trying to get food in the system, I can understand being rambunctious but was genuinely just trying to have a bite and be on our way, was rudely greeted, wasn’t told our food was ready even though bartender stopped by our table to make snarky comment and saw we were still waiting. Seems like they can’t handle a Wednesday night so I don’t know why the two ladies (pink hair and black hair, probably in their 40s I guess) are bartending wonder what weekends are like since this was just a relaxed weekday. As well as for someone who works in service and their job is to cut people off when they’re drunk you would also assume they would realize or have an eye for when someone is actually in need of help which we were hinting but were greeted with “we’re not serving” duh obviously we’re trying to get food for our friend and protect. Hard when you can’t say it out right but they obviously couldn’t pick up on that. Especially when guy was almost taking advantage of...
Read moreYesterday I attended the oyster event at the Husk. This event was one of the worst events that I have attending in many many years. I didn't mind all the people and waiting in line for over 3 hours for oysters but what I did mind is that during those 3 hours of waiting for oysters there were oysters being brought out and given to people that weren't in line. These people were ones that were just over by the butter and crackers. When it first happened, I couldn't figure out why they got oysters and all of us in line didn't. But it happened over and over again. When I asked someone from Husk about it, they just shrug their shoulders. WHAT? So this event was VERY poorly planned and very poorly managed. I will NEVER attend any events at Husk and I will never go there again.
Thank you Husk for showing me what a lousy event...
