Edit: Now that I have been to the Marco’s here, I can leave an actual review for their service and food quality. The online ordering was great! Unfortunately, I was given the wrong order, along with a few other people. They are not reading actual order numbers, but going off of names. Which means if someone has the same first name (my situation) you’re sitting there playing a guessing game as to whose order you’re grabbing. I do not eat meat, but was given a calzone that contains meat. I called the restaurant back to let them know, and they told me to bring the order back. I brought it back and waited for them to remake my order. They also had the door to the shop open, letting in the cold air. My fingers and toes were very cold as I waited, but I’m sure the workers were hot. FYI: I was given nothing for my inconvenience, so do not expect and over and beyond correction of service here.
The workers are not the most professional. When I was asked to repeat my order I said it, and this time included the order #. The worker walked away and said, “I was just asking a simple question.” SN: I work in client service, so I try to stay aware of how I speak to people, however, this worker seems to have thought I had an attitude. They have many workers, but not a lot of organization. They lost a few orders for some other patrons as well. Hopefully, they will work out all of their kinks and get into the groove of things soon.
The calzone I had was quite tasty. Not tasty enough to endure mediocre service, but good enough that I may try to order again after they’ve had a year to get it together.
Original Post: I felt the need to give this review because of the two ignorant (meaning lacking knowledge or awareness in general) one star reviews. A simple drive by of the place and you will see that all of the construction equipment is still inside. So “no,” no one is going to answer the phone to take your order, when they are not yet open. I have eaten at other Marco’s Pizzas, in surrounding areas, and the experiences from service to food quality have been excellent. I hope that when the Wilson Marco’s Pizza opens that the service and quality will be just as grand. I will certainly give an honest review based off of my experience, once they actually open.
My only issue with the Marco’s Pizza in Wilson, at this point, is who they have replying to the reviews. It must be a bot, because certainly a human person would have been able to correct the mis-informed one...
Read moreThe food here is usually pretty decent. Better than dominoes and most of the other fast food places. This past time however was really rough. Both pizzas were incredibly greasy, to the point where they soaked through to the cardboard boxes completely. Granted, one of the pizzas was an Alfredo, so we did put that box on top of the other one. That, however, doesn’t explain why a ham and pineapple with regular sauce was so greasy that it’s soaked through the cardboard box and onto my wife’s shirt and pants and hands. All in a matter of a five minute car drive.
When I called to talk to someone about what had happened, the employee didn’t seem like they cared all that much. They half-heartedly apologized for the issue, but tried putting it off on the fact that one of the pizzas was an Alfredo and that’s why it had so much grease. We’ve gotten it pretty regularly and have never had this much grease on it before. Needless to say, after the attitude received by the employee and the poor representation of pizza that we received, we will not be returning to this location. Read moreOn Wed, 10-5-22..We ordered 2 pizza pies and wings, on the Marcos app and paid at 1025p, order will be ready at 1045p. Store received info including phone number, we actually had a few call backs to advised of out of order..etc..in the past, we get there, a 15 min drive across town, and doors were locked, 2 workers are inside girlfriend knocks on door, counter guy says they were closed for the night already, lack of staff .our order was not made. Disappointed we had to make new diner plans, as we sat in front, in car, other workers left with a few pies there own, so they were short staffed and could not make our order but had time to make there own and walk out of store at 1050p. Courtesy call to cancel order would have been nice, good thing pizza hut was open, and got my 42.00 order. One guy was working there.
