Sozo Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Wilton Manors

The sushi/ sashimi is the freshest and tastiest I’ve had in the area BUT- my only complaint and this might be a personal preference thing - the rolls are HUGE. like overly bulky and big, and they are very loose and sloppy. Like the rolls fall apart when you pick them up. They need to be rolled much smaller and much tighter. One roll I had to eat in almost 3 bites per piece. You def cannot pop one piece in your mouth. I also thought - and again this might be personal preference- but the sashimi pieces were soooooo thick. Like the salmon and tuna sashimi looked liked small square filets I could cook on a pan. It was almost 1 inch thick. I just like my sashimi thinner I guess?

Fresh generous portions of sushi at affordable prices. Unfortunately the positive ends there. Clearly requested my chef’s selection order not include any shellfish nor eel. When handed my board I see eel sushi. I kindly ask that it be removed. Instead of apologizing for the mistake I’m told I never made this request and am given an unpleasant attitude. I was absolutely floored. She (didn’t get her name but have a feeling is the manager) made me feel very uncomfortable. I’ve been ordering sushi this way for years at various Japanese restaurants and have never experienced such an unpleasant response to this request.
