Hideaway Cafe: More Than Just Coffee, It's a Community Hub. Stepping into Hideaway Cafe in Winchester isn't just about grabbing a coffee, it's an experience that will keep you coming back, time and time again. While their coffee is, without a doubt, incredible (seriously, prepare for your taste buds to be delighted), it's the people and the vibrant atmosphere that truly set this place apart. What do you get when you mix great coffee with great people? The Hideaway Cafe, a true staple in the Winchester community. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and genuine smiles. The staff here are not just serving coffee; they're building connections. This commitment to community extends far beyond their counter, as Hideaway Cafe actively gives back, providing free meals for those in need within our community, a testament to their heart and dedication. Beyond the exceptional beverages and heartwarming service, Hideaway Cafe offers so much more. Need a unique gift for the coffee lover in your life? Their shelves are stocked with fun, quirky items that are sure to bring a smile. The space itself is a quirky, fun gem, perfect for everything from a casual catch-up with friends to a productive lunch meeting. And did I mention they have booze? Yes, they do! If you've had a less-than-stellar day, Hideaway Cafe offers the perfect antidote. Grab your favorite beverage (perhaps something a little stronger), pair it with a macaroon (or three, I won't judge!), and feel your spirits lift. It's the perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Hideaway Cafe isn't just a coffee shop; it's a vital, vibrant part of Winchester, offering exceptional coffee, genuine hospitality, and a welcoming space for everyone. It's a must visit for anyone looking for more than just a caffeine fix, it's a place where you'll feel right at home.

I had a very unpleasant experience at Hideaway Cafe. I ordered an iced Leon Fog Latte (lavender black tea latte) and it came out as just flavored oat milk (see photo). A few friends also ordered tea latte and received iced milk with what appeared to be a splash of tea. The reason I'm writing a review is because I spoke up about the drink, and the employee I spoke with was unhelpful. I asked if it would be possible to have some more tea added to my drink because it was quite light on the tea. And he told me "it's 8/10ths tea" and said that he would have to make more tea; he was completely annoyed by my request, defensive, and condescending. Look , I don't normally ask for a change to something unless it's really bad. And if it had just been my drink, I probably wouldn't have said anything, but three of us had the same experience. Furthermore, my husband ordered the "eggnormous" breakfast wrap and there was nothing big about it. It tasted fine, but the name implies that it's large. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because I noticed a lot of welcoming resources and a buy a meal for a neighbor system.

Hideaway Cafe in Winchester is a delightful cafe that truly lives up to its name. Tucked away at the end Old Town, this cozy spot offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The decor is charming, with a blend of rustic and contemporary elements that create a relaxed vibe. The menu features a variety of delicious options, from hearty breakfast dishes to satisfying lunch choices. I particularly enjoyed their signature brunch items, which are both creatively presented and bursting with flavor. The coffee is exceptional, brewed to perfection, and pairs wonderfully with their fresh pastries. The staff at Hideaway Cafe were friendly and attentive, making sure that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, the service is consistently excellent. Overall, Hideaway Cafe is a must-visit when in Winchester. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy great food, and experience the warmth of the local community.

One trip to Hideaway and I'm already looking at the calendar to see when my next trip will be to Winchester so I can revisit this charming gem. It's absolutely everything I want in a cafe: warm, inviting, full of adorable-ness at every nook & cranny, stellar customer service and most importantly - high quality eats & drinks.

When I was searching online for a cafe/breakfast spot in the area, I was drawn to Hideaway because of their inclusive messaging. Every snippet I found online boasted about the cafe being a safe space for EVERYONE. This year has given emphasis to my desire to make intentional choices about the businesses I support. This is exactly the kind of business I want to endorse and where I want to spend my money.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the front door. My order was taken quickly and with genuine warmth. Since I ordered a few breakfast items, I was given the option to take a seat anywhere inside while the food was prepared. I was even updated a couple of times on the status of my order, even though everything was complete within about 15 minutes.

My partner and I are big fans of matcha and these were the best matcha lattes we've had in YEARS. Probably ever. We were very impressed with the quality of the matcha and grateful for the option to sub regular milk for oat milk.

What we weren't ready for was how amazing the food was! I'm not usually a fan of breakfast wraps, but the dude is, so we ordered an egg-normous breakfast wrap, an avocado & everything bowl, a french toast muffin and a bag of chips. I would eat that breakfast wrap every day for the rest of my life and die a very happy person. It was packed with amazing flavor and the sausage tasted QUALITY. I keep repeating the word "quality", huh? It's now synonymous with Hideaway! The avo bowl was also bursting with flavor and included the best quinoa either of us has ever had in our lives. I don't know if they crisp it up with the everything bagel seasoning or what, but it was like little crispy explosions of flavor that had us both wanting to lick the container. The bacon was amazing and the egg was ... let's say it all together now ... QUALITY. !!!

The french toast mufffin was just as fun as it sounds and it is HUUUUGE! Definitely generous enough for sharing, unless you're having it as your meal. The crunchy topping is oh-so-satisfying.

The trip before this, we found our favorite pizza place within 100+ miles, now we have a favorite cafe too. This is more than enough reason to plan a weekend trip to Winchester and visit our new...

The coffee was good, and most of the staff was nice except for one older lady with a Karen haircut. Which I later found out was the owner, Victoria. I was wearing moccasins with socks, and I took off my moccasins on the floor and had my feet crisscrossed (in socks) on the blue loveseat thing where I was sitting. The lady walked by and said that the health inspector is very strict and requires customers to "keep their feet in their shoes and on the floor at all times." For one, she spoke to me disrespectfully like a child after I had just spent $30 there, and also didn't say anything to the other customers beside me with their feet up on the chairs, and two, that is not even a health inspection requirement. She made that up. The health department doesn't even require customers to wear shoes period. I know this because I work in the industry. Employees have to wear shoes, but customers do not. Don't believe me? Look it up. If you want people to wear shoes, (which I was, mind you, just not while sitting crisscross applesauce on my chair) you legally have to put up a sign that visibly states that. You know what the health department does require?? Food handlers to wear hair coverings...which this establishment does NOT do :) Honestly, it came off like she was just annoyed at the way I was sitting and didn't want my feet on the loveseat. Which is fine, but again, PUT UP A SIGN, and don't blame it on the "health inspector" when you aren't fully educated on something that isn't even a...
