We came here in mid-April to see Them Dirty Roses. This was my first time at this venue. I bought general admission tickets online the day before the show through eventbrite. The show ended up being sold out. My online research told me it was under 300 person capacity so I had an idea of what I was getting into as far as general admission and it being packed. When you walk in, you pass by a room in the front and go down a hallway to the bar area. That was packed. Women’s restrooms are beside the bar. Pass through this room to the back where the stage is located. It was pretty packed in that room when we got there. We missed the first opening act but caught the second opening band. The men’s restroom is in the back of this room. I was expecting the stage to be at the back but it was on the side of the room which ended up being good positioning - allowing people to stand directly in front of the stage but also off to the sides and still get a good view. The sound was good - better than I was expecting for such a small place. We weren’t elbow to elbow, but it was pretty tight. We stood stage left and had room to move around a bit. Some men trying to get through to the bathroom shoved their way there unnecessarily but nothing to cause any issues. Someone making announcement before the band came out said if you have too much to drink find a Brightbox staff member and they will get you an Uber. I thought that was nice. People were singing along and hooting and hollering. It was obvious they really liked the band which I think is cool and I am sure the band loves that. Ticket prices were great. We parked on the street a couple blocks away - parking was free on the weekend. We saw a mine to get in as we arrived but we went and had a drink and ate first so by the time we got to the door, there was no line. As I said, we did miss the first opening act but that was fine with us. We had an overall good experience. I’d say, for a small venue, this is a good place to see a show.

If you're thinking of having your wedding in Winchester, or if you're looking for a unique venue with all the bells and whistles included, two words: Bright Box. All I wanted for my wedding was the least amount of vendors as possible, and Matt and the Bright Box team knocked it out of the park. We got married on 10/30. The kindness, passion and love the team showed us was honestly unexpected but so refreshing! We weren't just another event to them, and that showed from day 1. FOOD was FANTASTIC! You never really hear of folks after the wedding still talking about the food, but the Chef crushed it. The crabcakes were amazing and I saw folks walking back for seconds of the brisket! The BAR lineup was great - Matt worked with us on making sure they had all the ingredients for our signature cocktails. Nick and Amy were so kind and friendly. Nick helped my elderly family members with the elevator the entire night - thank you Nick! The staff was bubbly and upbeat - not stuffy like other wedding venues. Tables, linens and chairs were on site - they were perfect for our halloween wedding! We played into the neon theme! Being a concert venue already, the audio and lightening were perfect and the team was happy to adjust with any request. The pricing was super competitive and most of all - super reasonable given all that you get with the venue. We were so glad that we picked Bright Box to be apart of our day, and we can't wait to visit for a concert the next time we're in the area. Thank you so much Matt and team for the perfect day!

Nice little venue with friendly staff and a really laid back atmosphere šŸ™‚ It's definitely one of the smallest venues I've ever seen a show at (and I've been to hundreds of different venues over the last 26 years), and probably only holds around 100-150 people maximum. Its setup rather strange though with the venue being very wide, but only about 5-7 people from the stage to the back wall. This equates to a good/great sounding venue though and great views, as long as a 7' guy isn't standing in front of you, which is exactly what happened to me, and I'm 6' tall myself LoL 😁🤣 The band also plays level with the audience, vs being on a "stage" and higher than the crowd. Sound was great though and other than an SD card buffer error for the first time in my life, and my recordings missing anywhere from 10-20 minutes in the middle of the second set, my Schoeps MK 41 V and MK 4 V mics sounds killer! Thankfully, there was another taper there that I should be able to get a good patch from 😃 Overall, its a great little venue that I'd definitely visit again. It didn't take but a couple of minutes to get a fresh drink and free refills for my Coke's, and the Eggy Rolls (LoL) were great too and were done cooking very fast. The opening band Eggy, and Dopapod, took advantage of the tiny venue and both bands really kicked it up a notch and played killer sets. It was a 3.5 hour drive each way from the Pittsburgh area, but it was totally worth it IMO šŸ˜ŽšŸ‘
