The 1-star rating has nothing to do with the location's food which is very good. I've been coming to this establishment, bringing friends and family for many years now and have spent a lot of money here. I also frequent the Bonnie Blue restaurant across the street. On this day, it was my intention to get breakfast at Bonnie Blue and pick up lunch for someone afterwards at Jiffy. I have parked in Jiffy's lot for many years now and did not see (or expect to see) the new signs that say it is private parking lot. Not long after ordering my breakfast at Bonnie Blue, Jiffy had my car towed. They have cameras that monitor the lot and if someone parks and walks across to the other restaurant, they contact towing immediately. While I was waiting for my ride to the impound lot, I learned more about the circumstances from those "in the know". Apparently, Jiffy and Bonnie Blue are in the midst of a parking dispute and their customers are paying for it. Another couple made the same mistake while I was there, and I ran over to warn them. They replied, "I've been parking here for years".
It cost me $225 and an extra 90 minutes of work to collect my car unexpectedly today. The towing company says they tow between 3-4 cars on a weekday and 6-8 cars on a weekend day. To prevent being treated like I'm in NY city instead of Winchester, I'll be avoiding both establishments from now on. And for those of you who would say, "just read the signs", what an honor it must be for you to have never missed a sign in your life. I've never had my car towed in mine, so I guess there's a first time for everything.
These folks should get their petty dispute figured out before it starts to cost them...
Read moreI've been getting sandwiches here for years. It used to be my go to spot for my husbands lunch. Both of us got breakfast this morning like we always have at Bonnie Blue, then afterwards we always walk over to The Working Man store to check out new stuff. We figured since we got to both places no big deal parking there. We left Bonnie Blue, no problem walked right past our car, no problems. Went into the Working Man Store, bought something. When we came back out there was a sign on our car that it had been marked for towing. The funniest part is that it was literally marked for towing while we were in The Working Man store... we won't support this business anymore. You've lost two customers...
Read moreSkip the whole Downtown mall and come here. Food reminds me of my grandmas country farm food, and they do it while engaging in real world conversation (i don’t feel like im walking into a room full of robots, even the other customers eating in were helpful and friendly!). Also this place is much more than a sandwich shop even though its a sandwich based menu, you can get a full meal with multiple different food items for less than 10-15 a person EASY. We’ll have a damn near Mother-Made breakfast for at least the next few mornings!! I don’t leave reviews, it’s usually a waste of time but 100% check this...
