The atmosphere and decorations here were amazing!! Definitely our favorite part of the place. From there, our experience was just okay. They seemed understaffed for the night, the servers there were doing their absolute best but they just seemed set up to fail. The menu is huge, we spent a ton of time reading through it before ordering but they came back and didn’t have 2/3 things that we tried to order. We didn’t get a menu back so we just went off what they suggested instead (the servers were literally running around so it felt like we needed to be fast). I ordered the Chiang Mai pork belly, which was really just okay. It didn’t really have much flavor and it wasn’t what I expected based on the menu description and what I looked up online. Either way the breading was so thick that only a few of the pieces actually had noticeable pork belly in them. The sauce came in a separate tiny little tin and the flavors from there were barely noticeable over how thick the breading was. My boyfriend got one of the soups, we aren’t sure which one we ended up getting because that was a change they made and it was really just okay, the meat was dry and the flavors were just meh. Dumplings were good though, but nothing special. The tables around us looked like they did a way better job ordering than we did, because their food looked way better than ours. Not sure if we’d come back with all the other options to try...
Read moreThis is a place I have been meaning to try. I just happened to be walking by and saw the menu posted on the door and it piqued my interest. The decor is very nice but I was ordering takeout. The menu is big with a lot of selections. I decided to order a couple of items I had never tried or even heard of before from the Unique Thai section of the menu. I got the Lotus Root Curry which is cutlet pork rib with lotus root in a super spicy curry. It comes with a warning not to ask for lower spicy level which is promising because I love spicy. I also ordered Kua Kling which is sautéed minced chicken and pork ribs with hot and spicy southern chili paste style. I was told that this is spicy as well. These were excellent choices. The spice level of the Lotus Root Curry was perfect. I don’t care for something so spicy that the first taste burns your mouth and every taste after is just numb. This was flavorful and spicy but the spice level just gradually builds until it is a low simmer, never overwhelming. If you like heat, you must try this. The Kua Kling was great as well. The flavors and texture was very good. This could be my go to order from here but there are more dishes that look promising so I’ll have to try more.
Kinnara Thai is a place I would definitely recommend and is on the top of my list for Thai food. The food is great but the little touches make it better like the decor and even the to go...
Read moreThe restaurant is really nice, the decorations are very pretty. Unfortunately the servers are very unexperienced. Starting with a dining room with about 15 or so tables, only having 3 occupied ones and they sat us next to one of those ones so we as guests can listen to the other guest conversations. Later the table next to us had cleared and when the next guest came ibshxa completel room, the server sat them again next to us. Why? Is it because those are the tables closest to the kitchen and they don’t want to walk the extra 5 steps. That’s basic management of your dining room. You can also tell the lack of experience when the server brought a bottle of wine and left it on the table for us to open an pour it ourselves. Continually rushing us to place our order when we are trying to enjoy our wine and having a conversation. Never clearing any of the empty dishes and having to get up to go ask for our check because the servers were eating. The last thing we noticed something odd about the place and when we thought about it having to listen to other guest conversations we noticed that the place was way too quiet, to the point that was uncomfortable. As a suggestion, invest in a sound system that will complete the ambience of the beautiful restaurant. And maybe invest in some training so your servers can learn the...
