MooThru Winchester — Restaurant in Winchester

Beware. My family and I went there and I have a tree nut allergy. I got a chocolate milk shake thinking that was safe. Ended up in the ER with an allergic reaction. My wife call to let them know there may be a cross contamination in their chocolate ice cream. Come to find out they use tree nuts in their chocolate ice cream and there are no signs stating this. Their response was it my job to let them know I have an allergy. A very irresponsible comment. I understand I’m taking a chance going to an ice cream shop but if the flavor is just chocolate that tells me there is nothing else in it.

Update- I was there on April 12th. I could have missed any signage but I thought I would be safe just getting a chocolate milkshake. But my wife was informed there is no signage and I looked on your website. There is nothing on there stating you have tree nuts in your ice cream. My husband and I decided to stop by here on a whim and we are so glad we did! We were looking for a snack and were pleasantly surprised to see they offered real food as well as ice cream. We both ordered a hotdog and milkshakes. We were excited about all the different ice cream flavors the business offers. I ordered an orange milkshake and he got the pistachio milkshake. The staff was incredibly kind and seemed to really have the hang of things. We waited about 5 minutes for our food to come out the window. Not a bad wait at all! I can be rather picky about hotdogs and while the bun didn't seem to be the freshest, the hotdog itself was very tasty. The milkshakes were absolutely fantastic! They had a different flavor to them when compared to the typical Pack's or Dairy Corner. We both easily decided they were the best milkshakes in town! Pulled into the drive-thru for a sweet treat on my drive back home after a spirited afternoon of shopping. I ordered a Banana milkshake and was handed a dripping mess! The attendant was aware because she handed me napkins to go with it!!😡 I honked the horn and asked her "Why would you even hand a customer something that looked like this??!!" I asked for a refund and she had the manager pop over........... As someone who has dealt with Food & Safety inspections for well over 30 years I am beyond AWARE that you cannot take the product back however, even after being offered a free shake I was so pissed/disgusted that I just took my money back and dumped it.
