LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Winchester

It was a decent meal, the steak and lobster I got were good, although I had to brush the salt off my lobster because it was too much. The lobster was a little tough too, a little over done. My steak was great 6oz filet cooked perfect medium rare. Best filet I've had in the area, seasoned lightly, very tender and flavorful. The Brussels are good although my guy thought they smelled funky...there's a smoked pepper in the honey and it gives a unique flavor. We got pickle chips as an appetizer and it was great although some pieces had too much salt...not sure how but otherwise they were the best pickle chips I've had (and they're not on the menu) but you can request apparently! Would be nice if they made a spicy sauce...they brought ranch and I hate ranch it wasn't the worst but I rather no dip than ranch, we didn't specify and honestly the rest of the meal had enough stuff didn't really need it. I got mushrooms and they were nasty...they let me switch them out they were definitely old had that old mushroom flavor..but they let me get a cup of soup..the soup was too salty for me unfortunately and I didn't try it before leaving but whoo my guy ate it because I couldn't he likes salty thick gravy...It supposed to be soup though and this was almost like the brown gravy he makes it would have been good less salty it literally tinged my tongue. My guys food was alright he liked his mashed potatoes and the steak was mediocre at best, I think they need a thicker steak for a ribeye it was barely 1/2 inch but long.. and I tried a bite and was unamused definitely would have been upset if I ordered it it was a tough steak. He wished it had more seasoning..it was surprisingly unseasoned compared to my filet and I'm not a big seasoning person but it was pretty bland. I like just a little crusted on the outside with a nice red center..he likes medium and it was cooked to medium so I'll give them that. They can properly cook a steak to temp and that's pretty hard to find around here. I was overall satisfied although my guy was little disappointed, I definitely wanted to try desert but was too full. The unsweetened tea is delicious! With some peach, it was perfectly sweet. Definitely wish I could've got a cup to go because I couldn't finish my refill, but would definitely get again. They forgot to bring my guy a refill, and it was kinda difficult to grab someone after our order was put in, but overall they were nice, they refilled my cup before I said anything so that good. It was somewhat busy but not bad and wasn't too loud. There were some odd smells possiblely from shrimp or someone sitting near us 👀... The seating could be more comfortable too..my chair was a bit stiff and I have a bony butt so I was really poking right to the wood under the old cushion.. the lighting is nice and the place was pretty clean. We arrived at around 745 on a Friday night and expected a wait due to how packed the parking lot was. The hostess said it would be about 25 minutes for a table for two. We waited roughly 20 minutes before receiving the text that our table was ready. We were seated at a booth and while the table was clean, the floor certainly was not. I had kicked a fork out from under my feet and wiped off the booth seat. Although, because of how busy they were, this did not bother me much. We were greeted rather quickly by our waiter, Mitch. I could immediately tell from his greeting that he was going to give us great service and he did not disappoint! He was very professional, friendly, and seemed to be flourishing in this face paced environment, while constantly checking in and keeping us informed. For drinks, I got sweet tea and my husband ordered a draft miller lite.The tea and bread came out rather quickly but we did have to wait a few minutes on the beer. I could tell the bar was busy, so we had no complaints there. I was surprised at how perfectly sweet the tea was. We started with the parmesan spinach dip. My husband ordered a burger, medium well, with the new flame grilled street corn as a side. I ordered the 6 oz. filet, medium rare, with a side salad and a baked potato. I had quite a few modifications and was worried about the kitchen getting them all correct. I had confidence in Mitch. I was very happy with how our food came so incredibly spaced out. We had plenty of time to munch on some bread before the appetizer came. After we finished chowing down on the appetizer, my salad came and a few minutes after finishing the salad, our entrées arrived. I was pleased to see that all of my accommodations had been met. Props to the kitchen and to Mitch for being able to meet these changes when being so busy! I was also incredibly pleased when I cut into my steak. It was a pristine medium rare! My husbands burger was also cooked to perfection. We haven't had a meal this tasty in months. We enjoyed every bit of our experience here, even when receiving the bill. We had expected it to be much more than it was. The check was only around $90, even with my husband having 3 20 oz. draft beers. We will be returning!...

I had a family reunion coming together and we had all agreed on a Steakhouse because it has food for everyone. In seeing everyone was coming in from hours away (some 3 hours away) just for dinner, we found Longhorn and chose to make this our location that we would eat at. I called the Monday before our reunion to make the reservation. I was notified by the nice person on the phone that they unfortunately don't take call ahead seating for large parties until the day of. As I had been in the restaurant business before, I understood this but was still a little confused. I waited until the day of and again called the establishment to make our reservations. I was then put on hold for a few minutes, and when the person came back on the phone, they asked me if it was ok we were all at different booths. They said they had another party of 20 coming in at that time and they had made their reservation earlier in the week. I was extremely upset because I was told no earlier in the week, but they made another exception for someone else. Needless to say I called around the area and made reservations elsewhere. I will never come to this establishment for the soul purpose of customer service. I have been in the restaurant business for over 13 years and have never seen or heard of...
