There’s clear signs that this is a brand new and growing business. I placed my order at 1:04pm and did not receive my order until I asked about it at 1:34 after seeing multiple to go orders come and go that were clearly larger than mine. I ordered the Asad’s 4 which came with a slider, a tender, pickles and I opted to upgrade to cheese fries. And a strawberry pudding. The atmosphere looked like an environment that had been several months old instead of just 10 days old as this was on 9/16 and the to go menu mentioned the grand opening was 9/6. Only one of the TV that were (I’m assuming) suppose to be the digital menu boards were working. If they wanted to capture the feel of being in center city Philadelphia they nailed that look. But for a 10 day old establishment I found it surprising. The staff was friendly but the lady who took my order asked if I wanted to place an order when I had been standing in the small area for a half an hour waiting for my food. As soon as I had mentioned I had been waiting for a half an hour they immediately made my order for me. Based on what I observed they are being bombarded with online and App (DoorDash/Grubhub etc) orders, which seemed to be their priority over those choosing to come in and place an order. (Side note: they also seem to be experience technical difficulties while I was there, not sure if that contributed to my experience or not. However, they seemed far to busy to (be able to) care.) The most important factor however was the quality and taste of the food. I’m happy to say it was good. The slider was justice and flavorful, the cheese fries had good seasoning and cheese ratio, the pickles were fresh, the biggest downside I thought was the tender. It was placed right on top of the cheese fries so the breading had become soggy and feel off as I ate it. The flavor was good. I ordered mild spice and there was a slight mild kick to it. Would I visit again? Yes. Just not during the Monday afternoon food rush and perhaps a month or two down the line when the grand opening craze and rushes subside.

If you’ve never been to Asad’s Hot Chicken, let me warn you: this isn't just a meal—it's a test of willpower, pain tolerance, and self-discovery. You walk in confidently, scanning the menu with heat levels like “Mild” and “Dante’s Inferno,” thinking you can handle it. A few bites in, you’re flying high, the crispy chicken tasting divine, until a sudden wave of hellfire smacks you so hard you start questioning your life choices. Sweat pours from your every pore, you beg for mercy, and even the milk you chug doesn’t stop the spice from invading your soul. You go through the five stages of grief as your taste buds dissolve, and somewhere between bargaining with the universe and accepting your spicy fate, you realize you’ve entered a realm where time doesn’t exist—just endless heat. The temporary calm that follows is a cruel joke, as the fire reignites with a vengeance on its way out of your body. Despite all of this, the feeling of accomplishment is undeniable, and yes, you’d probably do it again. Because after surviving Asad’s, you’ll never be the same—and somehow, that’s okay.

I checked out Asad’s Hot Chicken in Sicklerville, NJ, and overall it was a solid experience with a few highs and lows. The service was great, friendly and quick, and the prices were not bad at all, especially for the amount of food you get. The chicken itself was good, not quite on the level of Popeyes but definitely better than most spots in the area. What really stood out though were the sauces and the fries, honestly some of the best I have ever had and worth coming back for on their own. Did not get a milkshake as the prices on them seemed pretty expensive. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating, so it feels more like a takeaway spot than a sit down restaurant. On top of that, there was no air conditioning inside, which made it uncomfortably hot and sweaty on a warm day. That being said, the place has a modern and hip vibe, which adds to the overall appeal. If you are looking for flavorful hot chicken at a good price, Asad’s is worth a visit, just maybe plan on grabbing it to go, especially in the summer.

I’ll start by saying the food at Asad’s is fantastic! And the portion sizes and actual size of the sandwiches are huge and I genuinely believe this is the best Hot chicken around!

However on 2 occasions I had placed an order online directly from their website and is estimated about 15 minutes give or take. The first order was fairly large with 6+ different meals so I get it, could have been a one time fluke to why my order took so long. Now today when I placed another online order just for 1 meal at 1pm. I didn’t walk out the store with my food until about 1:35. There was at least 4 other customers who had walked up, ordered their food, and were out the door way before my order and many other online orders were done.

With how visibly upset my self and others were that our food was taking too long. One of the counter girls explained that the cooks don’t start making the food until you arrive with your order number because “we want to make sure your food is hot when you pick up.” I get that they want to ensure the quality of the food is up to par. But I genuinely believe that is a poor business practice if that is really their procedure. If someone places an order online and they take so long to arrive that their food is cold. Then I’m sorry but that’s the fault of the customer. Maybe get a heat lamp for orders waiting to pick up.

Other than that your food is phenomenal! I just know now to never...

Asad’s…boy oh boy where do i even begin, I entered this store one evening absolutely famished. I was desperately needing some sort of food ANYTHING. As the glowing light of the store filled my eyes I saw a nice young Asian woman behind the counter. As I stumbled in to see what i wanted she said to me “Welcome to Asads hot chicken! How may i help you today?” These words filled me with such joy. Knowing I was going to be helped by someone so kind excited me. I replied, “Heh, sorry! Give me one moment uh… what was your name?” “Eva!” She replied with a large smile on her face. I was taken aback by such kindness and staggered for a moment then smiled back. I glossed over the menu until the loaded fries caught my attention. I ordered them and Eva, the kind soul said to me “That’ll be out in a few minutes just hang tight!” This trip just couldn’t get any better, beautiful interior, nice and caring staff members and best of all the food was amazing! I would gladly come back here and spend more money on the food and to hopefully be served by one of the best cashiers Ive ever had the pleasure chatting with, Eva. Thank you Asads. Thank you. And if you’re reading this, thank you...
