We brought my service dog in training into the coffee shop and were greeted by the clerk. He asked us if she was a service animal, and it was listed on her harness, so he said that she was okay, and moved on (after commenting something about the health inspector not allowing animals). The second clerk came up, and he asked the same thing, having missed our conversation. I told him that she is a service dog in training, protected by federal law (ADA), and he just reiterated that she couldn't stay, due to the health inspector. There were also other customers who had an ESA in the shop with them, but they were not even approached. I pointed that out. My dog is well behaved, and she merely stood beside me while I was looking at the menu board. It was a nice day, so I took her out to the patio while the drinks were made, but it's illegal to deny access to a service dog in training, even if you serve food. Perhaps your staff can look up the file from NC DHHS about how to welcome guests with service animals, because the second clerk indicated he was only doing what he thought...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in a wedding over the weekend that was held at this place and the unprofessionalism and unkindness that the wedding party and guests received is something to be talked about. The bride and groom spent their hard earned money at this place just to be treated as though they were an inconvenience. The event coordinator was as rude as they come and the bartenders were haggling people and bridal party for IDs as if we had them on us after being in the wedding. And lastly, they kicked them out early because they said someone brought in outside liquor. This "outside liquor" was a small bottle inside of a guests purse that was not visible to the employees and was not being drank out of. Meaning they would have had to look inside of her purse. It was an all around bad vibe surrounding what should have been a nice and stress free time for the bride and groom. Don't waste your time planning events with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat a fun place! You can relax, work, or meet up with friends to enjoy some coffee or cocktails depending on the time of day. Very large indoor area with plenty of space, and a large outdoor area as well. No need to worry about finding room in here. Couches, chairs, little nooks out of the way, and even a large bookstore adjoining this unique spot.
The best part, there is free public parking in the back. The sign for āprivate parkingā is still up in the lot, but after asking inside, they confirmed that parking is free and the sign was never taken down. So if you go, ignore the sign and park all day for free in downtown Winston Salem.
The coffee and tea were outstanding. The flight my wife had on this Valentineās Day was superb. Each little taste had unique flavors with a lot of love put in. Thank you for the great service. We will...
