This was our first time visiting the Plant City Market, and what a treat it was to discover Michael’s Pizza! We ordered two pizzas to-go, and I have to say—they exceeded all expectations.
Each pizza was made to order, and you could immediately tell they were crafted with care. The dough was fresh and had the perfect balance of chew and crisp, the sauce was flavorful and just the right amount, and the cheese was beautifully melted and stretchy—exactly what you want in a quality pizza. The toppings tasted incredibly fresh and were generously portioned, without overpowering the base. It’s clear they use good ingredients and take pride in their food.
Even though we took the pizzas to-go, they were still piping hot and maintained their freshness and texture until we got home. I imagine dining on-site would be even more delightful, especially with the lively atmosphere of the Plant City Market around you.
The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. We felt welcomed from the moment we placed our order. It’s always refreshing to interact with a team that enjoys what they do and values the customer experience.
If you’re in or near Plant City and craving delicious, authentic pizza, Michael’s is 100% worth the stop. It was a great intro to the market and definitely one of the highlights of our visit. We’ll be back for more very soon, maybe next time we’ll try something new from the menu and enjoy it there on the spot!
Highly recommended to pizza lovers and market...

As I picked up our pizza (that was awesome) I also grabbed one of the handy condiment cradles holding red peppers & parmesan cheese and took it to our table. After finishing our pizza I returned the condiments to the counter and was greeted with “For future reference don’t take the condiments with you.” I responded with “I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to take them…” and “I thought it was okay as they were presented in these easy to carry cradles.” The next comment from the employee in the orange ski cap (see picture) was “I’m sure it was.” I assume the employee was agreeing that it was easy to carry. Whatever.
This could’ve gone completely differently had I been greeted with “Hi, thanks for returning those! Many times customers will leave them at whatever table they’re sitting at and we have to hunt them down. Next time could you please season you pizza at the counter instead of taking it with...
Read moreI ordered my meatball sandwich by scanning the QR code on the tabletop and received a text message when it was ready for pickup. I do wish there were pictures associated with the online menu/QR code menu. The QR/menu did advertise a 30 minute wait for the meal ahead of ordering, although I don't think it took that long since I didn't order a pizza.
The positives: -The baguette was super fresh and light, with a nice crunch to it after being toasted in their oven. -The meatballs were seasoned well and the sauce didn't overtake the flavor of the entire sandwich. -It was super hot and came topped with fresh cheese and a side of sliced pickles to clean your palette.
I do wish the actual meatballs were larger. For $15, I felt like the bread filled me up the most. I'd love a better meatball to bread ratio to make the perfect meatball sub.
The pizzas here looked absolutely amazing. I'll have to try that next time - when I didn't bike...
