Carrabba's Italian Grill — Restaurant in Winter Haven

I use to like the place, Because they have the best calamari, my wife and I love it. But, this past November the 10th, Our Anniversary dinner, we had our calamari and salads, then our main course came out, My wife ordered Chicken Marsala, I Ordered Chicken Parmesan with steamed Broccoli. While eating I stirred around my Broccoli only to find a "Hard Shell Bug" of some sorts, Immediately called the waitress and showed her, she took my plate and went to show it off to the cook and other staff like a prize or something and then to the manager. We sat and waited to see if the manager was coming to our table to talk about this, But No, instead She comes back to our table with Another Complete Plate of The Exact Same Meal and Expected me To Take It and Eat It And Be Done With It, But Instead I Said, "I Don't Want That", she walked off and That Was The Last Time We Saw Or Heard Of Her! A few minutes later another waiter cam by our table and said, "I'm Sorry About That, That Shouldn't Have Been In There". "REALLY, YOU THINK"! Our waitress came by and asked if we needed anything else, lol, No, we're good, we sat a couple minutes longer to see if anyone would come by our table to talk to us, the waitress said, " In Passing, You're All Set" We Got Up And Left. Of Course We Got Everything For Free, All Taken Care Of. Really The Worst I Think Ever I've Been Done In An Establishment With The Prices Of The Plate Meals. Meals Priced From 14.99 to Over 20.00 a plate, Honestly, I Get Better Food From Places With Lower Prices. I Won't Recommend Anyone To Eat Hear. I wish I would've taken pictures and went to a lawyer....

This location has gone downhill and management seems to care less about its customers and quality of its food. I order takeout from this location about every 1.5 weeks. Lately, the food has been bland and disgusting and the portions are ridiculously small.

Yesterday I decided to order the Shrimp and Scallops Alla Vodka with a Caesar salad through UberEats - I normally pick it up myself. The pasta was completely flavorless and my salad was already premixed with salad dressing. Of course the salad was wilted and clumpy and it made me question whether it was a salad someone sent back at the restaurant. I have never received a salad that was premixed - the dressing is always on the side when I order it for takeout myself or on the few occasions I order for delivery. I wonder if I was sent someone else’s old salad. I called the restaurant to complain and the manager was incredibly rude and sounded rather condescending and chuckled when I mentioned the pasta was bland and hardly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pasta has been consistently bland the last 6-7 times I have ordered it. He told me “Theres nothing I can do - call UberEats. I think there’s a link somewhere on there but I don’t know, you’ll have to check.” That may be your policy but this was not an UberEats issue, it was a Carrabba’s issue and its shameful UberEats is expected to eat the cost. I and my friend ordered the Tuscon Filet Mignon. My friend ordered it medium rare and I ordered it medium. Hers came back medium and mine was well done. I wasn't going to say anything but she mentioned it to the server that mine was overcooked. The server talked to the manager and they didn't charge me for it. My friend was able to eat all of hers even though it was more done than she wanted. They were both tender mine was just too dry. They let me take it home to my dog who loved it. I asked for coffee when the salads arrived. I was with a group of 8. Another person wanted coffee also but I had to remind the server and by then the other person didn't want it. When desserts were offered one of them was bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and sauce. I ordered that but the server came back and said it would be 20 more minutes until it was done. Since I didn't want to hold up my party I opted for the Ricotta cheesecake. It was good. A piece large enough for two. Service was okay, not great. They were empty when we arrived but became more busy over time until they were almost full before we left. We arrived around 4:30 pm and left around 6:30 pm. Restaurant was clean.
