My boyfriend and I went to the Winter Haven Olive Garden a few weeks ago and I can’t EVEN describe what a HORRIBLE experience we had!! I haven’t been back to this one in over 3 years since I had food spilled on me by the server and they said, “We will take half off your food”. My WHOLE meal should have been comped! 😳. This time we go, the server disappears for about 10-15 minutes, we hit the button on the kiosk to call someone with the re flashing light AND still no one stopped by our table! We finally got a server to stop and she ended up taking our whole order. Our original server brought the food out and only said, do you need anything else. He left before I noticed he brought my boyfriend the TOTALLY wrong dish!! We AGAIN had to flag someone down to get the right food. At No point did a manager come out as of this time. We never got refills of drinks, he told is we pay on the kiosk. Just before we left a manager (I believe) came to the table to pre bus which no one had done and asked, “How was everything?” I said HORRIBLE! There was nothing right about this meal. She asked if there was anything she could do…we are standing to walk out. Are you really just asking and not offering to make things right? I won’t go back to this Olive Garden and I hope others...
Read moreWe came in on a Friday from a long day at Lego Land. My wife is pregnant and we had a 4 year old and a 2 year old. I walked in to ask what the wait time was and was told it was 25 minutes (with a bunch of people sitting around) and I told the hostess that unfortunately we wouldn't be able to wait with my 4 and 2 year old and we'd need to go someone else (even though my wife was feeling nauseous and really craving the salad to calm her). Jennifer (the other hostess) just listening a bit said they could get us seated immediately as a table for 4 had just opened up as she understood having little ones and my wife's needs... I was absolutely floored and so, SO thankful.
Eddy was wonderful as our waiter and very attentive.
Look, this is Olive Garden - you know what you're getting here with a national chain (good food, quick and attentive service). But I'm leaving the review here because their staff went above and beyond to help out a young family and I am so, so grateful for their service and helping us ensure my wife didn't get sick and my kids were able to eat around their meal time after a long day.
Best Olive Garden I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot of...
Read moreWent there Sunday afternoon 3/26. I remember Olive Garden as having much better food than what we got. We ordered, 2- Tour of Italy's and 1- Eggplant parmesan and 1 soup. First off, the server kept forgetting who ordered which drinks and placed them all in the wrong spot. We just traded them around the table. However, the food got there quickly. Second, the food, both tours of Italy the chicken parm was dry and overcooked, it also did not have any sauce on it, only cheese. Basically, a dry piece of breaded chicken with melted cheese on it. We dumped the marinara sauce from the bread sticks on it. The lasagna was also dry and over cooked. The Fettucine was good and cooked just right. The eggplant tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, not good at all. Third, the server was rushed and over stretched. she never came back to refill drinks until we hit the call light on the table. Definitely not the Olive Garder we remember. We probably won't go back there again.
What was good? The bread sticks as always were good and the soup was excellent. Other than that, it was a so-so...
