Flowers can be scary! Picking the florist was the most intimidating part of planning a wedding for us. We wanted to do a mix of faux flowers with real flowers. Most of the florists we spoke with were pushing us to do all real flowers. Quotes were in the thousands of dollars, but we could not get a good feel for what we were actually getting. The cost was more than we wanted to spend. We ended up putting off the florals until a month before the wedding. That’s when found Shelly at Golden Petal Designs. She was very patient, listened to our vision, and understood our budget and desire to do a mixture of faux and real flowers. She immediately showed us how she could mix the two types to create beautiful displays and bouquets. We sent her pictures of our vision. She helped us find the right flowers at the right cost. Shelly is an excellent communicator, which is huge since we did not live close. This made it so much easier to get on the same page. We knew she would deliver exactly what we wanted.

On the day of the wedding she delivered big! We were overjoyed with her creations. She is an artist and shows passion for her work and care for her clients. Pretty bouquets, delicate touches at the ceremony site, and the floral arrangements she designed to decorate the Chuppah were beautiful. We are truly grateful for Shelly at Golden Petal Designs. First time coming here - Brought a Zippo that was sterling silver to be engraved, they engraved it on the wrong side of the lighter, okay, that was partly my fault, I shouldn’t have assumed people know how a Zippo opens and shrugged it off. While picking up the lighter, I explained I had some diamonds that I would like set and the jeweler said to come tomorrow and they would check them out.

Second time coming here - They were closed when the jeweler asked me to come back and left a note on the door. I understand stuff happens and decided to give them another chance.

Third time coming here - This was the final attempt at doing business with Golden Petal. I dropped off some diamonds Monday morning to be set and was told they would be ready after 12:00 on Wednesday. I went to pick up my diamonds around 1:30 pm and they were not even started. I asked for my stones back and took them to another jeweler in town who set them for less than 1/3 the price Golden Petal quoted me for and set them within 20 minutes while I waited in their jewelry store.

The bad news is I won’t be going back to Golden Petal, but the good news is I found a new jeweler to set all my stones and design...

I place an order online to have flowers delivered to a 4 year old after surgery. I live in Colorado and needed the delivery to go to a residence in Florida. Unfortunately, with the time difference I couldn't call during business hours to speak with the florist. I had mistakenly selected an arrangement that required extra time to order the flowers in it, but I wanted it delivered the day after I ordered it. The florist tried calling me, but I was in class and could not answer the phone. She made an arrangement similar to what I saw online, sent me a picture of it, and delivered it on time. The little girl I ordered it for was elated and the arrangement was beautiful!! I appreciate Golden Petal Designs taking the initiative to fulfill my order and doing such a wonderful job to make a little girl happy!! Thank you Golden...
