Unfortunately, we listened to a friend who has been telling us repeatedly that we need to eat at Deno’s. Now we are no strangers to Winter Park and love this town! We finally relented and decided to go. Let me say from the get go we were doomed as was every other patron tonight. We were told the only a available table would be outside or a high top. As it was on the chilly side we opted for the high top. This table was clearly an after thought placement and every staff member and patron who would walk by created what I can only describe as a heavy vibration there were times we thought the table and chairs with us there would fall through the floor. Not to mention the fact that this restaurant was so loud I don’t believe I would have heard a bomb go off. Our waitress was clearly scattered and her voice was definitely not an indoor voice added to our frustration. She took out drink order and we sat helplessly as our drinks died at the bar, ordering a simple Topo Chico and a draft beer seemed to be like asking her to perform rocket science to counter a nuclear attack. Getting a glass bottle with a lime in the hole was like getting a Corona on a bad beach and yet I am in Winter Park Colorado and apparently bringing a glass and ice is to much. Anna our waitress was clearly offended that we were sharing a French Onion Soup and a Burger, not being old enough to realize that you should not judge people, especially those older who probably tip well. We were brought cold soup that had zero seasoning and no one checked on us. Crazy because we told her we were going to want wine as well. In between the overly eager bread appetizer and our burger arrived a food runner setting our food down, you’d think this would be great except he was delivering food we never ordered. This happened not once, not twice but three times someone tried to give us food we didn’t order. The last time was hilarious as the check was right in front of me. The only time Anna was attentive was when we asked for the check and of course it was right in her hand. We asked for wine when our entree came and received it when we were 90% done. No one asked if we needed anything, there was no salt or pepper on the table. No one cared if we were in need of refills. It was a turn and burn type of atmosphere. For what we paid the burger was at best like warm and offering us onion rings without telling us there was an up charge is completely unprofessional. The fact our waitress had to tell us she was buried was even more insulting. Like we needed to make concessions for watching her flirt with people and give them more attention because their checks may have been bigger? We actually went to another restaurant for dessert and wine and were treated like royalty! Our check was less than $100 by a country mile but the service and atmosphere was so wonderful we tipped well over the check into triple digits. My advice stay away from Deno’s, the food and service are incredibly mediocre at best, and the atmosphere is horrible. Frequent other places where you will feel...

I will start with the fact that I was overcharged by about $30.00 and have submitted a dispute with my bank for this. That's more than my overall check cost of about $21! I visited during happy hour hoping for a drink and an appetizer. The outside is charming but the inside is dark and dingy with very low ceilings. However it was crowded inside so I held out hope for good food. The staff in general seemed to care more about visiting former staff members than serving patrons. Several staff members crowded around their table bringing multiple drinks and talking throughout my time there.

My server was the bartender, who came by to take my order at a high top table then disappeared. Anything he said to me about the status of my order was done while briskly walking by - he seemed in too much of a hurry to stop and speak to me. I have a gluten allergy and had to explain the process of asking the cook/chef to change their gloves to avoid cross contamination. He didn't understand that because the dish I ordered didn't contain gluten, there couldn't be cross contamination. Their menu at least indicates which items are gluten free, but staff should have an awareness to know how allergens work or know to ask someone. I ordered the burrata caprese which was unique and had good flavors, but the basil and balsamic were WAY too heavy-handed. The whole thing ended up soggy and way to saucy, but was a creative way to set it up with heirloom small tomatoes and a large chunk of burrata. I ordered an aperol spritz which was also terrible and I could only manage a few sips. When I had stopped eating for over 10 minutes I finally got up and asked the bartender for the check, then had to get up again and ask for him to take my payment after he again disappeared. What a...

We walked in at 845 and asked when they closed. I was told they stop serving at 9 but open until ten and we’re only serving pizza and salads. So I asked the staff member would they be upset if we stayed for pizza and salad and he was very kind and was like sure. Come on in. So I went back to the Jeep to get my fiancé and returned inside where the first staff member had disappeared so I looked around for guidance. No please wait here to be seated sign. Not sure what we needed to do to be assisted since we are visiting for the weekend. I see a sign over a bar that says order here. And someone standing under it. I approach and wait to be addressed as he was working on the computer. Not only did he have a bad attitude but he was not very helpful. Regarding me and my questions as bothersome. He gave me different information than the first staff member and didn’t seem happy about us being there or ordering food. We looked at the limited pizza offered on the menu and decided to just get a pepperoni cheese and mushroom pizza. We paid for extra pepperoni and cheese. They offer only one size pizza. What we received was pathetic and over priced. It cost us $27 for this excuse for pizza that came with maybe two pieces of VERY thin pepperoni per slice When we questioned the staff we were told what we received WAS extra We have had it with this areas local restaurants... poor quality of food. Mostly poor attitudes of the staff and even poorer opportunities to enjoy a meal ... we were planning on returning in the winter but considering this area cannot seem to handle a smaller amount of ppl I can only imagine how awful this place is when it’s actually busy....

Upon stepping into Denos Mountain Bistro, I was immediately greeted by the comforting aroma of homemade bread wafting through the air. I decided to start my meal with a slice of their freshly baked bread, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The bread was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, a true testament to its homemade quality. For my main course, I opted for the four cheese pizza, which was a delightful blend of gooey cheeses atop a thin, crispy crust. Each bite was a harmonious symphony of flavors, and I found myself savoring each mouthful. The ambiance of Denos Mountain Bistro was another highlight of my dining experience. The place exuded a cozy and inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of traditional French bistros. The warm and rustic decor, coupled with soft lighting, made it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal. However, one aspect that caught my attention was the beverage selection. While Denos Mountain Bistro boasts an impressive array of alcoholic drinks, it sorely lacked options for those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages. In fact, there wasn't a single non-alcoholic option on the menu, which I found to be quite disappointing. In conclusion, Denos Mountain Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious homemade bread, scrumptious four cheese pizza, and cozy ambiance. However, I do hope they consider expanding their beverage menu to cater to a wider range of preferences. Despite this minor setback, I would still recommend Denos Mountain Bistro for anyone looking to enjoy classic bistro fare in a warm and inviting setting.

I'm going to address the biggest problem I have with this restaurant then I'll get to the food. There is a 3% "Kitchen Fair Wage Supplement" added to all checks that I was unaware of. This includes alcoholic drinks as well. I obviously didn't have my menu when the check came but I'm sure it's in the fine print somewhere. To the management: When people come to eat they typically look at menu items and prices. I AM NOT YOUR ACCOUNTANT! You've been in business long enough to just raise prices and pay your own employees that aren't serving. Do you think I would not have gotten the filet if it were $61.80 instead of $60.00? What's next? Maybe a 5% property tax supplement? Emily our server was excellent!!! Very attentive and kind. The drinks were good. The two filets were cooked a perfect medium rare which is how I know it wasn't the greatest cut of meat. Nothing you couldn't get a Texas Roadhouse. Certainly not indicative of a $60 price even for a ski town. My son's bison short rib was one of the best I've ever tasted. The sides were potatoes and chef's vegetables which were Brussel sprouts and squash. The sprouts were hard as rocks and the squash had some kind of cinnamon glaze that wasn't appetizing. Mashed potatoes were good. Ceasar salad was good as well.
