Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Winter Park

Never bothered to write a bad review but IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR TIME - you should go somewhere else. We are all busy and ordering online prior for a pick up can be an effective way to save time. Long story short it took me 50 plus minutes to get my two subs. FIFTY. Placed order and showed up 20 minutes later (per the apps prompting) to be told "we are working on it". Which meant all that had happened was ticket printed out. I could tell they were just servicing the in-store line and letting pick-ups sit. So I decided to run a few close errands as I could see nothing was happening soon.

I gave them another 20 minutes. Returned to find many of the same to-go patrons still waiting, and my subs sitting half made. Some slight progress. After watching my food sit there as they serviced another roughly 12 in-store customers I asked when mine were going to get finished? I was met with severe attitude and what I could then tell was a "pay no mind" stance as my order continued to sit and get skipped. I told them I was at 50 minutes of waiting but that just seemed to annoy the employee.

Jersey Mike's Winter Park only had three people working at a lunch time which seems pretty understaffed. However long it takes to make a sub, so be it, but just say an honest time and let the customer decide. And PLEASE just make orders in the order they come in. Certainly that isn't a controversial request? Why SCREW OVER customers who pre ordered? That is so clearly what this location has taught their employees to do. I witnessed easily 8 disgruntled pick-up customers in the same boat.

Ok impressed, the owner should give everyone in this location an extra days pay!! The staff helped me out with my low blood sugar son with disabilities with out hesitation, and prevented a train wreck for me. Then an older gentleman walked in obviously regular who likes to bust chops with staff over the GOAT. Then 2 kids around 7 came into order a little frighten at first but were a treated like adults. The staff smiles sings jovial kind respectful, (ensure they are clearly heard over the speak up over the loud soda machine) and make a great sandwich! At the end our experience my kid was smiling laughing and eating a super fresh turkey and cheese.

Been twice so far to this new location. Both times received OUTSTANDING service and great subs! The employees were super friendly, making conversation with everyone in the line, getting us all laughing and smiling while they made our subs. This is the sort of service I would expect at a sit-down restaurant (which even those often fail to deliver); it was a great unexpected surprise to get such a friendly welcome and treated like family at a quick-service sub shop. The store itself is pretty small with not a lot of seating. But honestly by the time I left with my takeout, I felt like I'd received a full-service experience anyway. Truly impressed and will...
