Peterbrooke Chocolatier of Winter Park — Restaurant in Winter Park

I have been going to Peter Brooke since they opened. In the beginning, they had the absolute best gelato, beyond compare. No matter the flavor it was chock full of nuts, chocolate, or what ever else went with the particular flavor. The dipped cones were incredible, they were dipped at least 1/2 of the way down and they were dipped more than once so they had a very thick layer of chocolate. The servings were acceptable.

Over the years though, I have watched the amount of chocolate, nuts etc. go from generous to near nonexistent, tonight's cone was dipped to the minimum with a thin layer of dark chocolate... nothing like it used to be. The serving barely came to the top of the cone. For this, I paid over 8 dollars and with a tip over 9.

I can't do it anymore, as much as I have loved their product. I cannot justify the cost. Peter Brooke, has simultaneously reduced what set them apart while increasing prices to an unacceptable level. I find it cynical. Don't reduce both quality and quantity while at the same time increasing prices.

Personally, I would prefer that the quality and quantity of their product go back to what it was and to be charged more money.

I feel that I am at the point as a customer, that I am being taken advantage of... less product for more money.

The gelato is now mediocre, the cones are mediocre... the VALUE is terrible.

There are other very good places on the AVE for gelato or ice cream, I am going to have to start spending my...

We bought 13 chocolate covered strawberries in September for our Anniversary. Every year we celebrate with Chocolate Covered Strawberries and every year they have been great at this location. I requested for a 6pm pickup to keep them fresh as possible. Payed in advance at least a month prior. When I called earlier in the day to confirm they were already made. When I picked them up I noticed the leaves were brown and dried out. The top of the strawberries did not look the best either. I was hoping for the best, but they were terrible and rotten. We ate them the very next morning and threw a bunch away. I called them while on vacation and they just stated that they have to be eaten same day and offered me a $20 credit.
