We arrived for a late lunch maybe about 2:30 it was not our first choice to eat because the last time we went they were out of everything we ordered! We walked up to the host stand where we were not greeted told her five people. Moving extremely slow she set up a table for five The restaurant was not busy at this point. We sat and we were sitting there for 10 minutes and I noticed the restaurant filling up we had not been greeted by anyone, staff was walking by but no one said a word. A table of four walked in a good 15 minutes after we did and they were greeted about 10 minutes later. I then asked a waitress if we could get a server since we had been there for 20 minutes no one had even stopped by the table to say we'll be right with you. We then started looking at the menu for another restaurant right around the corner (downtown grille). FINALLY the waitress I complained to came over ...no apology NOTHING... I have been a restaurant manager for 30 years I could not have found your manager if I tried shouldn't have been walking around taking drink orders to help the staff along??? I have been coming up to lake Winnipesaukee for 30 plus years and that was one of the worst...

UPDATE #2: Received a call from the management and we spoke about the experience. We had a pleasant conversation and I believe they are striving for good customer experiences. In addition, the sign was removed and the prices were honored. I will be back to give it another try.

UPDATE: Thank you for the offer to honor the advertised happy hour discounted prices but I have sent 2 emails with no reply and tried calling several times without success. How do I get in contact with you?

After an afternoon of shopping we saw the banner for The Wicked Loon advertising happy hour half price drinks so went in for a cocktail. The host and server were very nice and we got a table outside. Tried two new cocktails and enjoyed sitting on the outside patio. The bill came and the prices were not happy hour prices. I asked the server who said “we are not doing that anymore". I went to speak with the manager since there is a large banner advertising happy hour. The manager knew the banner was up and said that they are not honoring the advertised happy hour prices. Very misleading. Very disappointing. We never ordered food so I can’t comment on that....

Wow! Had an AMAZING lunch here in Wolfeboro earlier this week with my boyfriend and we could not have been happier with our choice. First of all Abby showed us to our seat and was so sweet and personable. She even explained the separation of restaurants to us (I haven’t been in the building since it was Jo Green’s Upper Deck) and it was so informative and helpful. Plus, the view! When we realized The Wicked Loon centered more on seafood I was a little bummed because I don’t eat it, but there were a lot of choices for me regardless that I was happy to choose from. Our food was DELICIOUS — he got a crab cake sandwich and I got a Cobb salad (10/10 would order again it was so good). Patatas Bravas were out of this world. We were in heaven! We are SO grateful we had Lexi as our server — she was incredibly polite, caring, and attentive to make sure to check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She honestly was so perfect and her happy attitude made our day! We will FOR...

My husband and I came here on Sunday for a drink at the bar and we had a great experience. The 2 bartenders were so kind, the drinks were delish, and the vibe was great! Everyone’s meals around us looked awesome so we agreed we had to come back for dinner. Last night we were in the mood for seafood so we headed back to the Loon. The weather was BEAUTIFUL so we asked to sit outside. Unfortunately, we had a really negative experience with the hostess Marilyn. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwanted at a restaurant before. My husband and I were so upset that we were ready to get up and leave but then our server Lisa came over and saved the evening. She was so kind, prompt, and knowledgeable, we agreed we would stay. I am happy that we did because all of the food and drinks were delicious, the lobster roll was awesome and so were the fish and chips. Thank you again Lisa for turning our experience around and making for a lovely evening dining on the lake!

Wicked loon was wicked amazing!!! Seriously where do I begin?? The food was amazing. Please try the crab cakes sitting on a bed of coleslaw. It was like lyrical magic in my mouth. I wanted to have salmon and polenta (not officially paired together) but Sandra (thank you for amazing service) made it happen!!! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the polenta was so creamy. Yes please and thank you!!! Mike and Julia routinely checked on me to ensure I was doing good. Their friendliness made my solo dining experience exceptional. The vibes was on point. And let me not leave out the water views from anywhere you sit at the bar... a definite must try if you are in the area...
