The Wolfetrap Grill & Rawbar is a comfortable and very busy restaurant with good food and excellent service. We were fortunate to get a waterside table out on the deck to enjoy a beautiful New Hampshire evening with a great view. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon which came with a Thai peanut glaze, whipped potato and sautéed baby spinach. She enjoyed it very much. I ordered the Caesar Salad and the Lobster Bisque. The salad was crisp and green but a tad too heavy with the dressing. On the plus side, the salad had been pre-tossed with the dressing so it was evenly coated everywhere. And Wolfetrap must make its own Caesar dressing because it is much better than the usual faire you get at other restaurants - just a few steps below having a real Caesar made right at your table and at a far lower price. The Lobster Bique I did not enjoy and returned it because it was so salty. The restaurant immediately apologized and removed it from my bill without my having to ask, and I ordered the Peel and Eat Shrimp in its place. The shrimp were perfectly spiced, plump and delicious! Paired with an icy cold Stoneface Double IPA, it was a very enjoyable meal and we will be back for more.

Went for an early dinner on a Friday night and had a great experience. The restaurant has a relaxed laid back vibe. It has indoor seating and outdoor seating by the water. The hostess was pleasant but seemed a little stressed when addressing someone on the phone before bringing us to our table. Our waitress was very friendly and checked in often. We ordered the seafood chowder, the tuna burger and the seafood bouillabaisse. The star of the night was hands down the bouillabaisse. It was absolutely delicious, followed by the chowder, which was full of seafood and super creamy. Both are must haves! The tuna burger was decent, but a bit forgettable so we would probably skip that next time. Saw another table get the fisherman's platter and that looked generously portioned and very appetizing. We skipped dessert and cocktails, opting for beer and wine instead Overall a lovely evening.

We found this place off of Google maps and went there because it had good ratings. We were not disappointed. Callie was on a server and she was so helpful and nice. The food was absolutely amazing and came out faster than we even thought they could make it. In fact, all the food that came out on the plates around us looked amazing too. Even though this place is a little off the beaten path, it was almost packed and rightfully so. We are so glad we found this cute little restaurant on the water. Great atmosphere, friendly customers and friendly staff. Wish we lived around here to make this a regular! Highly recommend!

I am giving this restaurant a 1 star due to the length of time we had to wait and the waitress we had. We arrived on 7-12-18 and checked in at 6:24pm. We was told it would be 30-35 minutes for the wait. For us that was very reasonable. After an hour of waiting I went back to the young lady at the desk and asked her how much longer we would be waiting as we had already been waiting past the time she had first specified. She told me that there were 6 other parties in front of us and nobody in the dining area was leaving and she couldn't just make them leave. A good decent restaurant would ask those patrons who were just drinking if they could move their party into the bar area so they are able to seat other parties. About 10-15 minutes later they finally sat us only for us to find out that they had plenty of tables available but nobody was cleaning them off. Our waitress came over to greet us and take our drink order. When she brought our drinks she asked if we was ready to order and had any questions. We did have a question and was ready to order but after answering our question, she just walked away. She did not return for another 10 minutes. Once the food arrived we were both surprised at how much oil was on my plate(I had the salmon with Thai peanut glaze) and my husband had the wolfetrap bouillabaisse. There was so much bouillabaisse that you couldn't see any of the other ingredients and the smashed potatoes turned to a liquid glue. Although it was flavorful, it was less than par for the price. It is pretty sad when the hostess has to buss tables just to...

Have to say that I had a bad experience here. I am a newly widowed woman, so went to eat at this establishment alone on a Thursday night. I went early - before 5:00 so as not to waste a table on just one person. Well, the hostess and waitress both seemed reluctant to make me feel comfortable from the start. The waitress was very monotone - no where close to being friendly. I ordered a glass of wine, hoping to get a piece of bread, but was told that they had none - only some garlic bread. So, I ordered a salad which was described as having blueberries, strawberries and raspberries on it. When I got it, there were no raspberries, very few blueberries and 4 strawberries, which was fine. But, what was most prevalent on the salad plate were at least 25 pieces of grapefruit - which I don't care for at all! I mentioned it to the waitress who didn't seem to care in the least. I fully expected to receive the salad the way it was described on the menu. So, I paid over $33.00, for something that I didn't even like - no one even tried to make me feel content about it. I left a $2.00 tip - (first time in my life that I haven't tipped a normal amount) and then left without anyone saying thank you - good-bye -...

Great place, amazing food. The only issue was the hostesses are clearly green and don’t know how to handle a rush. This idiot family in front of us insisted they had a reservation, which this restaurant does not do. It turned into a thing, and the 3 hostess all decided to focus on making this family happy instead of having one deal with them and the other continue to take names of the people coming in waiting for the tables, in order to get some sort of order going. This resulted in more and more people who kept coming in, then had to stop and wait for the hostesses to finish dealing with this family, which took about 15 minutes and was creating a huge bottleneck in the doorway. Not a big deal in the long run, but maybe you want to get more seasoned hostesses for the dinner rush and let the kids right out of high school do the less busy times. The food, however, was totally worth the wait. I had the gazpacho to start , which was literally the best gazpacho I’ve had in my life. I followed that up with the swordfish tacos, which were equally amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough, though maybe come here for a late lunch / early dinner to try and...
