My boyfriend and I have been to this location 3 times after going to the East Brunswick one, and the service has quickly gone down hill. The first visit included average service as the restaurant is primarily self serve with an iPad to order and hot bars/sauce bars. The second time we visited was two weeks ago, and we were willing to wait the necessary time to be able to have a table. We waited by the bar after speaking with the hostess, and we watched people just come in and be sat down for an hour. My boyfriend went to see what was going on in terms of the wait list only to be told that he was removed from the queue and that we would be placed second in line. Second in line? She informed him we waited an additional 30-45 minutes, and we aren’t getting priority seating? The third time started off much better than last time as it is a Thursday thus no wait time. Halfway through the dinner the cleanup crew drop a pan while cleaning up the table across from us resulting in oil and juices being sprayed all over my pants and shoes as well as my boyfriend’s shoes. No one bothered to even approach us from our server to even a manager to check in and see if we were okay. They did not even clean my seat that was covered in everything nor the floor under my feet which meant I was stepping on the oil the entire remainder of my dinner. Additionally, we were not even done eating and not even a full hour into the dinner when our server handed us the check. She once again didn’t even ask us about the situation or even just do the basic check in. My boyfriend was still fully eating while I was grazing before hitting my second wind of food. I asked to speak with a manager, and all they did was remove half of the total. I’m out a new pair of pants as this was the first time I just wore them as I just bought them as well as Uggs which are over $100. We go for not only the food but also the experience. While the food is good, the experiences have not been even remotely average. I don’t enjoy smelling mop water while eating my food, being covered in food, and having no ability to put my feet down because of oil on the ground. Customer service needs vast improvement, and we will most likely go to another restaurant due to these experiences.

Went here 6/14/25 for dinner with my sister and our kids. I have a newborn she has a 5 and 9 year old. Firstly they had the garage door open and placed directly inside by the hosts stand was a DJ, blasting ear shattering music. It was so loud that for our 30 minute wait until our table was ready we decided to walk over by the petsmart we still heard the music. Thankfully we were seated at a table upstairs so the music wasn't as deafening as it could have been if we were in the main dining area. We had ordered only the BBQ no hot pot. Our server asked us if we've ever been to kpot before and we had said no but she didnt explain anything to us. I have been to another Korean BBQ (not KPot) so I understand the gist although ordering and calling our server through an iPad was different. Our hot plate took forever to get hot. We ordered meats and sides together. The sides all came, besides another bowl of rice. So we cooked the sides first. We had our onion on the plate for at least 10 minutes it never softened. Eventually the meats we ordered came. I looked at the side of the table and changed our temp from Med to Hot. Then started cooking our meats. Gave up on the onions. There was no cooking time guide on our table I just cooked until I heard my ancestors say stop. Every time we ordered more the food always came in portions and never our entire order. We told our waitress 3 times that our rice never came. She said she would check. The place is not set up for children. I had to squeeze my infant seat into the booth. The food itself is lack luster. Ive been to other Korean BBQs (not Kpots) where the meat is seasoned or sauced flavorful but this location was bland and the portions were very small. Having the items take a while to cook, long time to come to the table, missing items, small portions, poor service, and the unaccommodating atmosphere, contribute to the poor rating and I will most likely not return. We spent $111 on the four of us and felt it was not worth it at all.

Recommend: kbbq and hotpot Recommended items: short rib, garlic scallops, kbbq shell on shrimp Good: crab legs, spicy soup broth Ok: pea shoots, bulgolgi, healthy herb soup broth, chicken soup broth Pass: kpot special soup broth Rating on food only as always but the service was notably poor. I loved the crab legs but they only have the scissors which makes it very difficult to crack the crab. The short rib was marinated and juicy. Although it is very sweetly flavored. The scallops are nicely seasoned and the shell on shrimp are large plump. The pea shoots were sadly pretty tough but I was impressed they had it on the menu. All the other items were pretty standard and what you would expect for the items. The portion sizes are pretty small per order so it's adviseable to start with multiple (2-3) orders of items that the table really likes, though they do charge for uneaten food so that's only advisable for favorites and at the beginning of the meal. The soup broths varied a lot. The kpot special broth was extremely lightly flavored. The chicken soup broth wasn't salty enough to season the toppings well. The healthy herb is has Chinese traditional medicine broth ingredients which has a distinctive slightly bitter taste, and is entirely on personal preference whether or not you would enjoy that. Food came out pretty quickly which was nice. Staff was pretty inattentive. When we got to the table, the staff dropped off the tablet and then left without letting us know whether we should order the soup broth on the tablet or if we were expecting someone to take that order. When our grill was very caked, we selected the alert staff button and they grabbed our empty plates as they walked past the table without stopping to ask what we were requesting, and we had to flag the staff down again. We had to actively flag the staff down each time we needed the grill changed.

My husband and I went with our 21 month old son Saturday afternoon and had a great time!! The servers were very friendly and attentive. You could tell this was a new restaurant, as a few things were a little disorganized, but it's totally understandable and didn't affect our experience in a negative way.

If you've had kids, you'd know that taking toddlers out to eat can be very hectic and unpredictable. And if you're an anxious mom like me, you'd be worried about the impending chaos about to ensue from a hangry toddler and the judgment from others that comes along with it. But the servers were totally cool and understanding and so nice to our son.

The food was tasty and fresh, and we loved the huge variety of appetizers/small plates and DIY sauce choices. Our son is very picky with food but surprisingly tried some of what we had and wanted "mo." In the end, there was more food in his belly than on the floor, so that is definitely a win in my book!

I will note that I wish our table was a tad longer, because from every angle where the highchair can be positioned, he could still reach the hot pot stovetops. I do think that that's more on the parents than the restaurant though, but I just wanted to point that out to help other parents prepare and know what to expect (if you have a super grabby kid who knows no danger and wants to touch all the hot and sharp things). If we go again with our son, we'll probably forgo the highchair and put him in the furthest spot in the booth from the stovetop.

A small suggestion I could make (ignore this if this is already a thing and I missed it) is they put a "popular sauce combinations" one-sheeter next to the sauces for people like my husband who don't understand when they're told, "just put together flavors you enjoy" and can be found at the counter frantically typing into Google "what do green onions taste like?" or "what is srichahaga" (his spelling, not mine). For example, if you like sweet & spicy, mix x, y, z, etc. Make it as simple and graphicy as possible.

All in all, excited to go again, except this time for a date night (see you in a year haha) so we can take full advantage of the variety of...
