
Update, after initial response from Crunch.
I've moved to King of Prussia, PA, making gym visits impractical. While Thomas confirmed my gym membership cancellation, I require confirmation that my personal training membership is also cancelled.
Why do you guys make it so difficult to deal with?
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my experience at Crunch Woodbridge, encompassing both a mishandled personal training cancellation and a separate, ongoing membership cancellation debacle. These issues have caused me significant stress and inconvenience.
Personal Training Cancellation:
I enrolled in a two-month personal training program. As per the contract, I submitted my cancellation request 30 days prior to the intended end date. However, Crunch failed to process this cancellation and continued to attempt to charge my account. Fortunately, I had proactively blocked my account, preventing unauthorized charges. When I contacted Crunch via phone, I was instructed to visit the gym in person for cancellation. Upon arrival, I was informed that my cancellation form was "lost" and that I would be required to pay for continued membership. Thankfully, I was able to provide a screenshot of the form I had previously shared, which they acknowledged and stated they would use to process the cancellation. I require immediate confirmation that my personal training membership has been successfully cancelled.
Membership Cancellation & Billing Errors:
In addition to the personal training issue, I am also experiencing severe problems with the cancellation of my general gym membership.
December 12, 2024: I submitted a formal cancellation request via email (attached). Fitness Holdings Member Services confirmed my cancellation, specifying a final charge and a last day of access of January 10, 2025. I have proof of the final payment transaction. March 6, 2025: I contacted Crunch Woodbridge regarding ongoing billing issues. Thomas O'Halloran, General Manager, stated the final payment was never collected, and the account remained open. This directly contradicts the confirmation I received in December. I provided the cancellation confirmation and payment receipt again. March 7, 2025: I followed up, emphasizing the stress caused by the continued payment due notices. Thomas confirmed he would resolve the issue. March 10, 2025: I received another overdue payment notice, indicating the problem remains unresolved. Key Issues:
Conflicting Information: Inconsistent and contradictory information has been provided by Crunch Woodbridge staff regarding both my personal training and general membership cancellations.
Failure to Resolve Issues: Despite acknowledging the problems and promising resolutions, both issues persist.
Lost Documentation: The physical copy of my personal training cancellation form was lost by the gym.
Ongoing Billing Errors: Continued billing errors and overdue notices related to my general membership are causing significant stress and inconvenience.
Poor Communication: Lack of follow-through and effective communication has compounded these problems.
I have attached all relevant email correspondence, payment documentation, and the screenshot of my personal training cancellation form and sent it to manager@crunchwoodbridge.com.
I request that this matter be investigated and resolved immediately. I demand confirmation that both my personal training and general gym memberships have been fully and accurately cancelled, and that all outstanding billing errors are corrected. Read moreCrunch at Woodbridge is a pretty decent place to work out but the condition that they keep this gym is HORRIBLE , the bathroom always stink like they never clean , i would never take a dump there even if i had dhiarrea id rather s**t my pants , floors are always dusty looks like they never clean before opening or closing.. the staff are not friendly AT ALL , they need better staff that actually have good customer service because the ones who are there never even greet you back , only the black guy with glasses is friendly too bad i dont know his name but he should be a manager or something !
UPDATE : 07/15/2017 - this is my third time coming at 6:15AM on a SATURDAY and theyre still CLOSED , theres a bunch of us waiting outside and they never open on time theyre supposed to open at 6AM !!!! first time i just came back home , second time i waited and the dude didnt come until 7 and this time im done i will be going to a different one , this is ridiculous whoever is supposed to open is very irresponsible ! thats what happens when you put kids in charge !!!!!
UPDATE : 06/11/2019 - so long story short due to all the issues this gym has i finally decided to cancel my membership , to cancel i had to pay one more monthly payment which i did in cash , a few weeks later they charged my card the same amount for who knows what reason when my membership has been cancelled .. tried resolving this issue but these people dont seem to care , manager never gets back in touch with you after a few days of calling i finaly got a hold of him and he said it was an error and money would be refunded into my account from 3-5 days , 8 days passed and still no refund so i proceeded to call again and see what was up , i called for 3 days and either the manager wasnt available or they just wouldnt pick up the phones , on the 4th day i literally called ALL DAY and no answer so i finally got annoyed and went personally to see the manager at the front desk just hanging out so i decided im gonna call and when i called the phones dont even ring !! its like they have them off so they wont have to answer or do any work , confronted the manager and he was sure i got my refund and i said no i didnt and showed him bank statements on my phone and he got mad and with attitude said hed do it again , now im waiting to see if i ever get my refund but this place is straight GARBAGE if you want to go to crunch go to a different location !
UPDATE : 07/10/2019 - a month since my last complaint , a month since i CANCELLED my membership and im still getting charged !!!!!!! they owe me over $80 , the manager is really useless and says hes going to refund the money and money never gets refunded !!! calling them is a hassle because they never answer their phone , and when they do manager is alwaysssss busy . im sick and tired of dealing with these people , i dont even have a memebership and im still dealing with them and then they wonder why i cancelled my membership .. Read moreSadly, the recent reviews are accurate. This place has become a sorry version of what it used to be. It's a glorified daycare for reckless high school kids with no supervision. It's obvious they've cut back on things it makes me wonder if they're having a membership or cash flow issue. A few years ago there was always somebody on staff to clean, and things would get fixed. Now it takes forever and everything's dirty. There's no pride in the members or the employees and these kids just leav weights everywhere and are more worried about taking pictures and setting up their tripods instead of working out. This isn't a gym. Management and senior management do nothing to fix this. If you bring a problem to them , you will get yes'd to death and the problem does not get addressed. Seems like they don't care if something happens and they have total immunity. Anyway, broken down:
Machines- many broken and stay that way for a while. Only one stair master works, pieces like caribeaners and pins are missing for the cable machines, and many treadmill dont work.. I added a picture of what appears to be a treadmill fault line 😂
Cleanliness - bathrooms never cleaned, garbage overflowing, half the stations have no paper towels or cleaner for the machines, and the place is filthy. The mirrors are cloudy like someone wiped them down with dirty dishwater and you can see people drawing pictures in the film
Rate- seems like you get what you pay for, maybe less. Some of the newer clubs have been upgraded to the premier level which will cost more. Could you imagine giving a company this ignorant more money??!
Staff- there used to be some cool people here. Now, the trainers left are so full of themselves like their head can barely through the door. It's like bro, or princess, you work part time selling bad chain gym subscriptions . Chill out. Half the time if you got late at night the kids at the desk are playing some kind of tribal music so loud you can't talk. It's not rock, rap, alternative, top 40... Just noise.
They could also care less about safety, or the common courtesy of their members. All these people with the tripods and phones acting like idiots and slowing down everyone else seems to be what they're going for. Not to mention the numbers of kids wearing thotty clothing having a video shoot. Crunch encourages this. There's also a speciql needs kid that works there and sometimes comes out of the locker room with no shirt on. Name begins with an M, can't remember.
14 of the last 20 reviews are bad. That's 70% of recent reviews, not to mention those that don't speak up. Think about that. Not sustainable. Hours have been reduced since government lockdown era, very short on the weekends. I would recommend going elsewhere, I've been to many gyms all over the country and this is by far one...
