The heavy older guy at the center counter is loud and obnoxious. This place never changes. The more you point out the obvious, the more they go out of their way to be disruptive… yes, the employees themselves. I happened to read another review from just two wks ago that complains of the same issue. Unreal. I actually feel sorry for them at this point. Fortunately, I can go to other libraries where they have way more sense, class, and respect. The whole point of a library is to study and concentrate, it’s not an adult daycare for workers’ playtime.
Original: One of the library attendants acts like a drill sergeant each and every time I visit this location, hounding customers very rudely one by one at the computers. Having no reason to address me, he proceeded to forcefully push a chair that had been properly stationed right next to me so hard into the computer desk I was using alone, it shook the entire furniture. This was unnecessary and done in a deliberate, threatening manner.
This employee is flat-out aggressive and has been so repeatedly even when his services have not been solicited. Unacceptable. His behavior was brought to management’s attention previously and now this employee goes out of his way to actually target customers. No staff member should act this way in any setting but in a library, it is that much more baffling.
As I chose to leave and looked up from my computer in his direction, I noticed him staring me down then quickly looking away. He makes everyone uncomfortable as witnessed during visits at this location which have become few and far between, usually only on days other libraries close earlier. Despite this, he managed to go out of his way to make my rare visit unpleasant, to put it lightly.
This is is not normal behavior, let alone professional, and it is the first time I have ever felt the need to write a review to alert others. This time it is not...
Read moreAlways very clean, very professional/ friendly/informed staff, always a computer available and self-printing services are very easy and affordable (have cash because the machines don’t take credit cards, except maybe the fax machine ..yes, they have a fax machine.. they still exist) . Been here many times and always have a nice peaceful visit. Pre—Covid they had a lot of family activities especially if you have little ones. They had movie night and a library area just for kids with kid’s computers, books, and computer games, I think there were toys too and it’s completely separate from the adult area. I hope they pick back up soon to pre-Covid hours and activities as the hours now are still limited. There’s...
Read moreI've been here for over an hour trying to study, but my experience has been anything but conductive to concentration. Instead of a quiet environment, I found myself surrounded by staff discussing personal matters, including the worker's bridal gown and the digital desk discussing things about their sisters and cousins. On top of that, the couple sitting next to me couldn't stop talking and crunching loudly on their snack, making it impossible to focus. This was not the peaceful study atmosphere I had hoped for. Unfortunately, I won't...
