I never leave reviews for food places, especially negative reviews, but I felt like I should. I've gotten food from Kings Teriyaki several times, and the food was always pretty good. However, I recently had a horrible experience there that made me never want to go back. I'm sitting at a table and waiting for my meal, knowing that it can sometimes take a little bit of time. I check a message on my phone, and I'm only looking down for a moment, when all of a sudden I notice he's glaring at me and shaking the bag in my direction. I quickly stand up to grab my food, and he says "here" and shoves the bag in my direction. He then tells me, very sharply, that I have to pay for my can of soda. They have a "free can of soda with every meal" promotion. I point that out to him, and he is clearly irritated. He tells me that I don't get the free drink, because I didn't buy a full meal. So then I look down at my food and notice that he gave me the side order and not the meal that I specifically asked for. At this point I just want to get out of there, because I'm becoming more and more agitated. I take out my credit card to buy the can of soda, and he stops me and says that I can only pay for the soda with cash. That didn't make sense to me, considering I just paid for my "meal" with a credit card. Instead of explaining it, he just stood there and glared at me. I should have said something to him about it, but all I wanted to do was leave. And I definitely won't be going back there to support them as a...
Read moreLet me start off by saying I’ve never left a bad review in my life, even when restaurants have disappointed me in the past, because people are human and hey everyone makes mistakes. I am writing this because of how baffled I am from what I experienced here tonight.
I called in an order for two combo chicken meals and specifically asked for the combo meal that includes gyozas. My friend and I went to go pick it up and the owner says I wasn’t specific enough so he charged us an extra $10 for two whole sides of gyoza… I apologized for the miscommunication (even though it was his fault??) and all he said was “It’s too late”. I asked him to charge us for just the combo meals since that is all we wanted and he refused and said next time you should clarify over the phone better.
I’ve worked at several restaurants in the past and own a small business myself and never in my life have I experienced such terrible customer service. All he had to do was remove a side of gyozas and charge us for what we actually ordered!! I would never want to bash a small business but I will never return to this establishment. Definitely don’t want to spend my money at a place that treats their customers this way. Think twice before spending your money here cause it’ll ruin...
Read moreThe customer service here was awful. We ordered a few dishes, two that came with brown rice. The brown rice had a metal staple in it. We threw away the brown rice, and combined the leftovers of our meal into one box. We went back to get a refund for the food and the woman there made me bring the food in to show her. She refused to give me a refund for anything that we ate so since there was still food leftover from the perfectly fine meal she wanted to take all the leftovers and only refund me for one meal. She said if we ate anything then I had to pay for it. I told her I threw away the rice but she said then we only get a refund for the rice. If that staple had been swallowed someone would be in the ER right now and they did not seem to care at all. She finally gave me the money for one meal but insisted on keeping all our leftovers so we should have gotten a refund for those as well. I do not recommend going here at all. If something is not right with the meal they will not fix it. I can’t believe how badly we...
