PLEASE READ; for I do not want this to happen to your loved ones too::: I took my two French Bulldogs to stay at the "hotel" for a week and they came back violently shaking with urine and feces covering their bodies from head to toe. My younger bulldog had a swollen anal gland (most likely from sitting in his own filth for a week and not being able to go outside enough) which popped a day later and blood and pus have been tracked all throughout my house for the last two weeks. It was completely unacceptable the way they treated my precious babies. I don't think they were even giving them water often because my male Frenchie came home and started chugging water so vigorously that he got choked and vomited (this continued to happen for a week after we got home, every single time we gave them water). As if it couldn't have been worse, they called me while I was on vacation telling me my oldest Frenchie had got in a fight with another dog during playtime (which we paid extra for and told the staff that she sometimes gets a little aggressive so she needs to be watched). They told us she had bit another dog and the dog had to go to the Banfield hospital and the total bill ended up being $370 which we had to pay for. Now I understand if my dog did that, I should pay but we never saw the videos and she has never bit another dog and she is 7 years old. She is sometimes aggressive and very alpha female but as soon as she starts acting that way, we separate her or break up the argument. This obviously didn't happen because no one was watching the dogs (even though they say they watch them). The manager is some punk kid who basically laughed when I told him my story. I was in TEARS talking to him about how poorly my babies were treated and he said he couldn't do anything about it.
TLDR (too long, didn't read): DON'T LET YOUR PETS GET ABUSED AT THIS "HOTEL." It is a SCAM and they NEGLECT your pets. Manager is incompetent and a total joke and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately , I have to leave a bad review for a store that we love. This review is solely centered on the pet grooming portion of their business. I dropped off our dog this morning for grooming. Not unusual of grooming to take a few hours. I was met with a smile from the staff and explained that it would be about 3 hours before she would be ready to go home. We talked about the grooming and I proceeded with my day. My wife was informed of the time it would take to complete the grooming. And they would call her once our dog was ready for pickup. My wife was out running errands and at the 3 hour mark with no phone call yet, decided to stop by to see if our dog was ready for pickup. After entering the salon, she witnessed something that put her into tears. There was our dog, leashed to a table leg, shaking , scared and trying to hide for comfort and couldn't. Employees walking by here every minute or so. None of them doing anything about the fact there was a young dog, completely scared and leashed to a table leg. No reach outs to give her a little comfort. Nothing, . My wife broke into tears as how they could treat an animal like that. Upon questioning, what's going on. The groomer Cassie, was rude to my wife forcing her to get management involved. Now, they because of the circumstances give the grooming to us for free. Which was nice for them to do. But for a young dog to be tied up like that and ignored, scared and cannot comfort herself by hiding, a free grooming does not make it ok. Hours later, my wife is telling me our dog is hiding and won't eat now. I have to now question what happened to our dog while she was there and we were not. She arrived tails wagging and trying to give staff member kisses. All I have to say is a this. We will not be returning for grooming services at this location or any pets smart location. Love the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShocked at the negligence of certain employees, as well as the health of the pets in the store. Made the mistake of buying two pets from petsmart in the last 3 years, both of which were sick and died within a week of bringing them home. They dont even trust their breeders (the words of one employee were that he was unsure of the reliability of their reptile breeder), and I am compelled to believe that the animals for sale at this store are unhealthy and treated inhumanely as they are bred to be sold in mass quantities.
I bought a corn snake for my boyfriend at this location, and was not told any information whatsoever on their care (even had to ask about a care pamphlet) and was not told the feeding schedule of the snake I had bought. Due to the negligence of this employee, I did not know that when I bought the snake it had missed a feeding and had not eaten in over two weeks. I got attached to him quickly and my boyfriend and I tried multiple times to feed him but he refused. The next few nights I did a lot of research regarding the breed and realized that petsmart had sold me a sick pet, who had been acting lethargic from the get go and quickly became too weak to eat. He died one week after we got him. :( According to petsmart policy they will give you a new pet if yours dies within two weeks (I now see why they have that policy) and when we went in to see about getting a new one they told us they didn't even know if the breeder had fed the one they had in, as, and I quote, they don't really know how reliable (insert their reptile breeders name) is. Although one employee in particular (Maya) was extremely helpful in helping and advising us after we realized our pet was sick and not eating, the rest of the store is sketchy at best and I will not be returning again as I do not want to support such an...
