One of the most HORRIFIC experiences I have ever had at a hotel. I had just gotten there the day prior and was not feeling good and having some altitude sickness issues so when a loved one of mine couldn't get ahold of me because I was in the shower he got worried and asked Sandy at the front desk to come check on me. This was at 9pm I was finally laying down trying to fall asleep when all of a sudden I get this EXTREMELY LOUD excessive banging on my door for about ten seconds. It was so startling I almost called the police instead of answering the door because i was scared it was psychopath that might try to hurt me. I asked who it was and Sandy from the front desk said it was her and was obviously extremely angry that she had to come check on me and very rudely told me to get dressed and call my loved one back at the front office (there's no long distance calling from the room). I was so startled still I was shaking and told her still very politely there was no need to bang on the door like that and if she's angry about something there's no need to take it out on me. Anyone else I think would've already been screaming by that point by the way she had acted but I was trying to be patient. She then walked away in the middle of my talking to her. That was when I started getting very upset. I had never felt so disrespected and mistreated at a hotel before. So I called down to talk to her and this time was very upset for the extremely disrespectful attitude but still trying to reason with her (which was pretty much impossible) and this time she put the phone down as I was talking and didn't listen to a single thing I said then came back on and said "I have no comment" and hung up on me. By this point I was past the point of upset and called down again to ask to speak to the manager and she arrogantly said the manager would be available the next day. I knew by the way she said it so unconcerned that the manager was probably just as bad or worse than her. Well I was right. That night I left a message on Pam, the managers phone when I was still very upset explaining some of the situation and telling her I wanted to talk to her the next day about the way I was treated. The next morning at 11am I got a knock on the door and to my shock it was the police! Pam had claimed to the police that I was refusing to leave when I hadn't even talked to her yet and she told them to escort me out of the room! They came in and started searching through my things and treated me like I was the criminal! She didn't listen to me at all and clearly didn't even care about the way Sandy had treated me. These women are cold hearted and mean spirited, there are literally no words to even explain the disgust for such irreprehensible behavior. To treat someone this way is so evil It's even worse than bullying. She didn't even have anything to say because she knew how wrong they were. If you don't know how to be a decent human being and treat people with respect and feel the need to purposely hurt others then you shouldn't work with the public and you CERTAINLY shouldn't be a manager! Pam and Sandy if you're reading this yes there is an afterlife and one day you will have to give an account to God for the way you have treated others. What do you think he would say about what you did to me? You should both be absolutely ashamed of yourselves for what you did.. abusing guests then blaming them for it! Talk about being narcissistic! You have some serious soul-searching to do I don't know what made you two so ugly inside but I pray whatever it is that God heals it. You both were very angry, miserable individuals from the beginning even before this happened, so I know this has nothing to do with me. I pray God will work in both of your hearts and lives because you certainly need it. On top of this all the room reeked like mold and was very tiny plus I woke up with bites on my legs from what I'm assuming...

In brief, I expected more for upwards of $180+ for one night. This felt like a $75 hotel, but we paid more than double. I would not stay here again.

I booked this room because we were in town for a housewarming party. The woman on the phone was extremely nice and helpful when I called to book our stay, which was really awesome.

We got to our room around 9:30 pm, after the hotel office was closed. We were able to easily access the room via the electronic door code.

The cabin is located directly off of a busy highway. The cars whizzing by are very noisy. Now that it is 2:24 am, I only hear a few. Unfortunately, I still can't sleep because I am so upset and so uncomfortable.

I wasn't pleased with the bedding - it just looks tired and gross and I didn't want to touch it. When we pulled back the sheets, there was long black hair, and a big black stain on the white sheets. Unfortunately, the office was closed for the night, and we were tired, so I just had to deal with it.

The room was stuffy, but there was air conditioning, so I cranked it on. It has been running loudly on and off for 5 hours now, and I can tell you that I am laying on top of the sheets because it is certainly not cool in the room.

I cannot use the bathroom without disturbing my husband's sleep, because a very loud obnoxious fan comes on when I turn the light on. There is not a separate switch for the fan, and the bathroom is located 3 feet from the bed.

Had I known that my experience would be so lackluster, I would have driven the 2.5 hours back home tonight.

No photos because it's 2:24 in the morning and my husband is trying to sleep - I'll try to add some later.

I've edited my post because this morning my husband woke up and said, "thanks for finding us a place to stay! It's really cute!" And, he's not wrong. These cabins are well appointed with a little kitchenette and living area that we didn't use - we just came here to sleep. But the fishing themed decor is really cute. I just wish the bed and the bedding were more...

I just may never leave this place! Good space for a young family. Our cabin will comfortably hold more people (short term) but for our family it seems so much!

Two bedrooms (one upstairs) one bathroom and a generous living area/kitchen.

Each cabin's number is on an animal and I'm guessing based on ours- the inside decor follows that theme.

Ours was a fish! Rustic looking furniture and paintings to match the theme. TVs in both rooms AND the living area (more than we have at home! So everyone got to watch a favourite show/movie).

Bathroom fully stocked with hygiene products and soft, fluffy towels.

Kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and cups to eat and drink from, a full stove AND oven (for those who get a baking craving on vacation), microwave, fridge, coffee ☕ pot, coffee ☕and an electric teapot 🫖.

Sofa comes out into a bed 🛌 and there's a recliner as well.

Ample closet/storage space in both rooms - dressers, wall hooks. The upstairs room has a small sink and mirror, so it adds additional space for families all trying to brush their teeth at the same time.

I may just need to move to Colorado Springs and live out the rest of my life here 😅! I haven't seen the rest of the premises (we came in late in the evening) but I know I won't be disappointed.

Best vacation...

For last-minute lodging on an unpredictable road trip, just getting one of their last cabins that allowed our dog was very appreciated. Its just off Hwy 24 but was surprisingly quiet. Desk staff lady was nice. Cabin was super-clean with shabby furniture and decor of the 80s-era “country style” which wouldn’t matter if the BED had been comfortable. Old terrible, lumpy queen mattress and very worn bed linens. I had to lay a pillow on the edge of the mattress to keep from tipping off the side! Husband tried the pull-out bed in the loveseat and it was even worse. He finally put the mattress on the floor to get a little sleep. Cute little kitchenette. Spotless bathroom with a good shower, but incredibly tight and hazardous to maneuver in; I stubbed my toes and feet several times using the toilet (def NOT for anyone with limited mobility, like me) It was a last-minute find for one night and I would not stay here again.

Stayed in one of the mountain cabins as it was the only one available. Utensils were dirty in the kitchenette, no sponge to clean dishes, and holes in the kitchen towel & hot tub towel. For $160 + pet fee ($15) a night, very disappointed in this stay and would’ve thought the quality would be a lot better.

Thank you so much! Sandy and Yolanda I hope I got that right! Everything was perfect for our stay! Adorable facility, clean functional rooms. Beautiful grounds! We shall return! Had cabin #4 . So perfect! Loved the vhs selections lol!
