If I were capable of being dumbstruck, tonight was the night and this was place. The embankment started traditionally unremarkable and routine. But concluded as the most bizarre and uncomfortable I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.
The barista handed me the first of the two beverages from the mobile order through the drive-thru window. Then, initially, reached out the second. Then pulled it back, said "For your next mobile orders, wait a few minutes before coming up. It causes stuff to happen thay my managers look and it makes them mad." before passing it to me.
I was stunned by the audacity of the remark. The barista was demanding I be a customer only in a manner that personally pleases them. It was insulting. I was nearly dumbfounded, but was able to respond with "Okay." This was as near to speechless I've ever been.
Whether he was shielding himself from his overbearing manager, whether his manager directed him to speak to customers like that, or any conceivable theory, that's woefully disrespectful. I really don't care about a business's internal metrics. I used the methods provided to me by the business to purchase the products they offer. That behavior was wholly unwarranted and just unforgivably rude. The manager and employee should be ashamed.
I fully understand how performance demanding customer service and food prep work is. I also know equally as important as the product, is the customer service. A poor product may mean a replacement product or a refund. But poor customer service can never be undone. I will always remember this experience and always rethink ordering in the future. As I am fearful I may be made to feel the way I feel I right now again.
The drinks were fine. It's really quite tough not to follow the instructions and recipes. What is tough is to be as straight up, unquestionably, maliciously rudely...
Read moreThis was my first time at this location. When I walked in I was a bit surprised. It wasn't the usual Starbucks atmosphere. It felt more like a small lunch hall. They have one pretty long table with a bunch of chairs then a couple other smaller tables. They could run out of seating rather quickly. I've noticed that more Starbucks are starting to go with a more plan rather dull atmosphere than they used to have. Less nice comfortable chairs and sitting areas and more just plain restaurant tables. Besides the atmosphere the service was not good at all. We got coffee and also a couple frappuccinos for the kids. We got our coffee and then waited and waited for the frappuccinos. We noticed other frappuccinos going out that were after ours. So we asked an employee who told us that it was being remade because they put coffee in the first one. Not good for my kids or my sanity so no big deal. Then we waited some more and noticed more frappuccinos going out. We asked again and were told that they were being made. So we waited longer and yet other people were getting theirs. After 18 minutes I asked the girl making the drinks what was going on. She told me that she didn't have a order for our drinks and asked what they were. I told her what the drinks were at which time the girl we had been talking to said "you still haven't got your drinks?" The girl making the drinks finally made ours and said thank you for telling me. Read moreHorrible service this morning from this particular starbucks.... drive thru was busy...had 30min to get to a football game... arrived at 830am waited for 25 for 1 hot breve coffee and 3 egg bites.... watched several people after that get their orders and many after that get theirs after I ordered... they never called my name 0855 went up and asked why my order was taking so long... The girl who took my order then says she 'gave it to someone else'... No sorry or anything for her screw up... I was out of time and had to leave in order to get to a game at 0900... I demanded a refund....then the girl proceeded to only refund me half or the money from what I ordered which was over 25.00... being already irriated with the way her and the staff handled their mistake I was upset but remained calm and said 'I'm never coming back here again'.... staff laughed.... Where is the respect of doing your job right and treating customers with respect?.. and apologizing when screwing up?... you have 1 job and your actions shows you don't care about that job and being in customer service.... Very poor service and manners at this particular establishment... I feel bad for the owner of this place that they have zero clue how it's being ran and how they treat...
