I stayed at this comfort inn 2 weeks ago with my husband, everything was on point. We had a pleasant stay. So I thought I'd try this hotel again when I came to stay last week as well. Checked in went to my room, dropped my luggage off and my room was freezing, I turned on the heater, up high. Left with my son for dinner. Came back to my room which was a ice box! Called front desk for maintenance and was told I'd have to wait till that next morning. I asked to speak to a manager, again told the same thing. I'm on the list for a kidney and liver transplant, getting cold is my middle name. So I called back to front desk to move, the front desk offered me a suite on my floor, which I thought was extremely nice. Heater worked like a champion. However when I got into the bed to sleep, there were BURN holes in the sheets, definitely did not seem clean. Also a VERY stained mattress, and not a full slip cover as they usually are. By this time I was exhausted from flying and the heater was good. When I was flying out, my airlines offered a free next day ticket as I was to be coming home to a blizzard. When asked the front desk what one more night would be, I was quoted higher than my original room rate was. I was shocked, front desk told me to go online, and I'm standing right in front of her. Needless to say I checked out, stayed one more night with my son instead! I visit my son several times a year, this hotel will not be a choice ever again.

What a huge mistake. When you first arrive here and walk in the place it smells just like POT. DO NOT BRING CHILDREN UNLESS YOU DONT CARE IF THEY BREATH THE *POT* SMELL THAT LINGERED IN THE AIR .I know it is legal in Utah but for those of us (like my 6 yr.old granddaughter) who don't use it they should NOT be allowed.to smoke in the hotel. It was extremly dirty inside and out. Breakfast consisted of frozen sausage on a biscuit. And if u are lucky a blueberry muffin and a tiny container of dannon yogurt. Also since we booked threw a 3rd party we were charged a refundable $200.00 deposit. They still had a nice pool but beware it was not heated There were cob webs in the window , I put our granddaughter in the bathtub and water shot out from the thing you pull up for a shower. The cops were called because a couple claimed housekeeping stole some money and misc items from them. The couple (with a small baby) stood outside and.was telling the guests not to stay there. A lady and 4 kids above us stayed 3 nights. Mom went out and left kids. Didn't get any sleep the first night so I had to tell the front desk. You also only get fresh towels every 3 days of your stay. We had to request housekeeping and they didnt even make our beds. At $179.00 a night I expected more. We paid in advane and if it had been refundable we would have turned and left!!!!!

Overall, convenient location, clean comfortable beds, great amenities (breakfast and pool) and really good vibe! This little gem is tucked away in-between a Smiths grocery store and a Toyota dealership. It is right off the freeway and a very convenient location. My husband two kids and I had plenty of room in the two queen beds room. The beds were stiff but had some added fluff. Plenty of bedding. Like the most pillows I have ever seen at a hotel. The freezer in the mini fridge even refroze my ice bag. The shower always had enough hot water. Breakfast is included. A big full breakfast with muffins, beagles, bread, yogurt, oatmeal, they even had eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy!! The pool was beautiful. Like it has a ceiling mural! It's a heated indoor pool with a hot tub! It's open from 6am-11pm we had it to ourselves all Sunday morning. We got this place at only $55 a night through a third party site on their website it was $67. It's a very clean and comfy place. They keep it really warm, the stairwell was 70 degrees. My only improvement I could ask for is a hand towel ring by the mirror.

This is a long review. This hotel wasn't as nice or clean as other hotels we've stayed at. The main entrance and breakfast room were unremarkable enough that I can't describe them. Our room had a slight cigarette smell coming from the fan by the window, but it wasn't bad. Guessing it was coming from outside the building? We had a single king bed that had a nice mattress, the pillows were good.... not lumpy or too hard. The inner darkout curtains actually closed well enough to keep the light next to our room from shining on our eyes. We put a rolled up towel on top of the fan under the window so it held the curtains against the wall and prevented light from coming in from there as well. There was a small bathroom with the toilet, tub and bath towels in a small closed-off room and a small sink and counter near the door. There wasn't a towel rod near the sink so the hand towel took up space near the sink on one side and a tray that housed an ice container and some cups took up the space on the other side. That left little room for toiletries. The hair dryer looked new-ish and was hanging on the wall. There was a small shelf under the sink with a tissue dispenser and a hand towel and wash cloth. It might have been small, but it was clean. On the wall behind the sink was a closet to hang up our clothes, but both doors were broken and jammed closed, so we hung our clothes next to the toilet on the rack with the towels. The TV didn't have any instructions or channel info, the remote didn't turn the TV on or off so we had to do so manually, and it only provided certain channels. We brought cords from home to link our tablet to the TV so we could watch Netflix or Disney plus, but we couldn't access their wifi. We needed assistance logging into their wifi because the info provided with our card didn't match the actual info to log on. Under the TV was a microwave tucked close to the back wall so that it was hard to access, and a small fridge. Next to that was a small desk and chair. The 8x10 pictures on one wall were just wavy Comfort Inn logo lines on solid background, another wall had offset pictures from a calendar on a white background in Walmart type frames. Despite it looking meager and cheap it provided us with a clean, quiet place to sleep. We were on the Northwest side of the main floor near the small pool and it was actually quiet besides the sounds of guests looking for their rooms. We didn't hear much traffic noise from the freeway or from the shopping court next door. There is a Smiths grocery store next to the hotel and several restaurants or fast food venues within walking distance, along with a variety of stores. It's also next to Woods Cross high school and there was a football game in progress, but the sounds of the crowd wasn't heard from inside the hotel.

The person at the desk was nice, but looked tired and sick when we checked in around 4pm. She didn't wear a mask, and she was at the desk when we checked out at 10:30. The cleaning staff knocked on our door before 10:30 so she could start cleaning. We had put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door but it slipped right off and we couldn't get it to stay on so we kept it in the room, which is why the cleaning lady came early. She was nice and waited for us to finish packing up.

We could've stayed at a better hotel for the same price, but all in all it was...

Before I share my experience, I want to recognize Grace at the front desk. She was the only person who showed professionalism, empathy, and a genuine willingness to help. She’s the one who ultimately helped fix the situation with my canceled reservation, and honestly, she should be the one in charge.

Now, onto the experience itself—unfortunately, it was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

This all happened during Memorial Day weekend in May, which made the situation even more stressful due to high travel volume and limited availability.

I had two separate reservations at this hotel: one from May 22nd to the 25th, and another from the 23rd to the 25th. On the 23rd, while I was already driving to the hotel, I received a call informing me that one of my reservations was being canceled. I explained that I was attending a wedding and that my family was already checked in, but they canceled one of my rooms anyway, showing no concern for the inconvenience it caused.

When I asked the man on the phone to help me find another hotel and to cover the cost—as any reputable hotel should when they overbook or mishandle a reservation—he said, “I don’t care.” I told him I would be calling corporate, and he responded, “That’s not my problem.” He was completely indifferent, unprofessional, and lacked any empathy.

When I arrived, things got even worse. They had reduced my original three-night reservation to just one night without my consent. Then they attached the second reservation (from the 23rd to the 25th) to that same room, treating it as if I was just extending a one-night stay. The issue is that both reservations were for separate rooms. Instead of honoring that, they tried to assign me the same room my family was already staying in—essentially expecting two families to share one room for two nights. It was completely unacceptable.

When I tried to explain all of this at the front desk and showed both of my confirmation numbers, I received no real help. Laura, who claimed to be a manager or supervisor, was incredibly rude and dismissive. She showed no empathy and acted like the situation was somehow my fault.

This experience ruined what should have been a joyful family trip. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service was shocking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects to be treated with fairness or respect. The only positive part of my stay was Grace—she’s the only reason I didn’t walk away completely empty-handed and the only reason I'm not giving a 1...

Although the staff working during my stay were absolutely wonderful (polite, helpful, courteous, etc.) I did have a few issues that would keep me from returning.

  1. The shower drained extremely slow... so slow that when I was done in about 8 to 10 minutes, the water was above my ankle. I find that extremely gross.
  2. The breakfast was just unsatisfactory, which is very unfortunate as I was specifically looking for a hotel with a hot breakfast. For example... a) the egg & cheese omelet was slimy and just didn't taste right at all, (both mornings I tried it), Literally two bites and I was done with it. b) Two out of the three mornings I went to breakfast, the biscuits tasted slightly stale and the gravy was almost water consistency (even after stirring). c) the sausage patties were cool at best. The third morning I was there I didn't even bother going to the breakfast... probably the same exact options, and likely the same quality as the first two mornings, wasn't appealing to me at all. IHOP it had to be.

The two ladies that were usually at the front desk when I interacted with them were great, as stated before, wonderful staff. I also interacted with the two gentlemen that were painting or sealing the patio outside the pool room, as well as a couple of the "room cleaning staff" on my floor, again, no complaints or issues with the employees themselves. They were a joy to interact with.

I hope my concerns are understood, and if you (whomever reviews this) needs to reach out to me for additional insight or clarifications... please feel free to do so.

Thank...
