3⭐️ Fair at best. Best thing - the service. Its people have been great. Worst - In room lack of cleanliness
I’m really surprised that this hotel has as many 5 star reviews as it does.
Front desk - 5/5 Room staff- 1/5 walked past four members of the housekeeping crew on a couple different occasions, none recognized we existed. Bathroom Towels 2/5 it’s as if the other Hilton hotels had used them for a year and now the Hampton gets them before they’re retired. Mattress - 3/5 hard Sheets / Blanket- 3/5 Pillows - 4/5 Toilet paper - 1/5 the least expensive Angel Soft option. Same with tissues. Water temp / water pressure - 5/5 Odd issue - I had to pull the lid off the toilet water tank 4x. Every 3rd time we’d flush it would stick and the water would just run and run. Gym - 3.5/5 definitely a plus that they had one. Even had a Peloton if you’re into that. I wish there’d been a little more room as there are medicine balls to use. But it’s pretty tight in there.
Shower head was too close to the wall. There was also a handrail placed right where I wanted to stand. So I had to bump against a cold stainless steel bar throughout my 3 showers there.
*See picture. In the bathroom there is a wood towel holder on the wall. The large towels are rolled and placed in the hole. There is a large amount of dust in these holes. They are replaced after every guest but never actually wiped clean. Gross.
I do stretches in the morning. I could see that the housekeeping staff never vacuumed in the spot right next to the wall. So there was 2” of heavy dust right next to the wall all around the room. Gross.
There is an office chair in front of the desk. It spins. The 5 rungs that the chair stands on have not been dusted in a year. This is an obvious area that you can see when you walk in the room. Gross.
Gave me the heebie-jeebies thinking how not clean the rest of the room was. ———— My wife and I have stayed here twice. January 2024 - 2 nights March 2024 - 3 nights. We’ve also stayed twice at the Hampton Inn - SLC / Farmington, next to Lagoon (a little farther north). These two hotels are equidistant to where our grandbaby lives. We went north first and had good experiences. Then south to this location because the price was better. I’m going to lean into the north Hampton Inn for the future. Everything seems just a little larger / newer Cleaner Towels are nicer /...
Read moreWe first went here on our honeymoon five years ago and got the junior suite with the Whirlpool tub. This is the second time we've been back now five years later for our anniversary and I can say it was a completely different experience. We really enjoyed it the first time we went but this time was not great.
First off the thermostat wasn't working so the first night was extremely hot and I finally pulled it off the wall and went down to the desk at 1:30am to see if possibly it was just the batteries that needed replaced and thankfully that's what it was. Once that was replaced then we could at least cool the room down.
The room itself was falling apart with many patch jobs here and there and everything just looked way more run down this time. The king sized bed was pretty uncomfortable.
The other annoying thing was there was tons of light coming through our door from the hallway light I had to try to put pillows and blankets around the door way to block some of it out so I could sleep. They should really fix the seal around the door.
Lastly the "breakfast" was a joke. They had very limited options that they had to dish up for you because you weren't allowed to yourself and honestly everything just didn't look appealing at all. I would have expected at least fresh Belgium waffles or something of that kind if you're going to pay $150+ a night to stay here but all they had were cheap little food items that look like they had just been reheated from the freezer.
Sadly we won't be back to this particular location for that price it wasn't worth it by a long shot. They should drop the price significantly to match the quality of the hotel and services Or get things fixed up so they can reasonably charge as much as they do.
I will say the staff was very friendly and easy to work with though so at least they're hiring the...
Read moreWe came out for two nights to help our daughter find an apartment. Was looking for a hotel that had a king bed and pull out couch, as well as served breakfast and had a fitness room. I saw that this hotel had pretty good reviews, so decided to take a chance. The location is convenient, close to the freeway. The hotel is right next to a Motel 6 and some apartments. Area felt safe. Parking in back allowed for large vehicles as well as if you are towing a trailer. Room was clean, huge bathtub with jets was a plus, my daughter took a bath both nights. The second sink in the toilet area was very convenient, since we had three adults in the room. Breakfast was good, lots of variety and nice seating arrangements. I appreciated the fact that an employee was monitoring the guests at breakfast (asking for room numbers, etc) - which prevents stragglers from coming in off the street for a free meal. We were happy to see almond milk available since my daughter has a dairy allergy. The eggs were a little off both days - maybe over-cooked or frozen for too long, it was hard to tell, but the rest of the food was fine. The fitness center could use some TLC. The treadmill did not work. I tried everything, starting it over, resetting it, selecting different programs. Ultimately, I think the belt was broken. Thankfully there was a recumbent bike and elliptical that worked fine. The fitness room could benefit greatly from a small rack of dumbbells, as the weighted exercise balls were relatively useless. I know... I'm one of those few weird people who actually workout when on a trip, so not many people will care about these things, but I do. Hubby used the hot tub, but I didn't. He must've liked it, he spent a few hours in the pool area. Overall a great stay for the money and I would stay...
