Found this place on a whim while in search for craft beer as part of our trip to Wegmans. We figured that if we were going to drive that far out towards Western Mass, that we might as well make a trip out of it and try and grab some beers and lunch. We did a few quick searches on Yelp and this place came up. It seemed affordable and decently popular so off we headed out, GPS on the dashboard.

Finding it was no problem and we arrived around 3PM on a Saturday afternoon, famished. We expected a near empty place because of how late it was but were pleasantly surprised to notice that quite a few people were there. The place was hoppin'. We promptly sat in a booth, menus in hand and placed our orders.

I started with a flight of beers, which enables one to get five 5oz pours of beers of their choice. Each beer is priced individually which I found to be quite clever and it came in a great, custom stone tray. I was able to snag a very hard beer to find on tap which was incredible (Goose Island's Bourbon County Stout) amongst a few other ones. The selection was fantastic and exceeded my wildest of expectations.

For starters, we split an order of dill fried pickle chips which turned out to be a good thing because it was the biggest order of fried pickles I've ever seen. It cost us $5 and came with a side of whole grain mustard aioli. It was delicious and was gone in just a couple of minutes.

Then came my entree which was a grilled skirt steak salad ($12.59), served on a heaping mound of field greens with some blue cheese, red onions and tomatoes. The meat was packed with flavor, cooked to a perfect medium and was perfectly seasoned. It was again, very good. And while usually salads don't always fill me up, usually leaving me wanting more, this one didn't. My fiancee's cuban sandwich was great as well. All in all, a pretty good meal at less than $15 each (excluding beer). Not bad at all.

The place is spacious, well lit and the staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are clean and there's also a large, private parking lot. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised by the fact that there's a few average and negative reviews are on here, I left very happy and impressed and would consider this place definitely to be above average. Plus it's one of the few places around the area that isn't a chain. I'd definitely return there for a meal in the future while in the area or in search of...

Had high expectations after seeing the reviews. I was a part of a group of 6 seated before the dinner rush hour. Half the bar and dining side empty. It took 20min before the waiter asked us for our drink orders. By the time he arrived we wanted to place orders for everything. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. Nothing fancy just burgers so we weren’t sure what the issue was. Those seated around us 20min after we sat were getting their orders and packing up by the time we got ours. The waiter arrived with our food and did not bring our 6th friend their meal. He apologized and said he’d be right back. We also all asked for more water (hadn’t seen him in a half hour btw). He came back twice and said it would be a few more minutes (no water brought). When he came with the missing food 15min later he admitted to forgetting to place the order. He asked what more we needed and we all again asked for water. As we wrapped up we asked for to-go containers multiple times and the check. When the waiter finally brought it all back he tried conversing about how it’s been slow and he hasn’t made any tips that week. Excuse me? No wonder you’re not getting tips! You forgot part of our order, had to be asked multiple times for needed items and had no energy. I can’t imagine why you’re not getting tips. The kicker is when we got our bill. Our friends meal wasn’t comped. But you did say “we had a burger special so I could take a few Dollars off” ok great thanks. We got a discount for ordering a burger but you didn’t recognize the serious issues of everything else. We did look around for a manager but by that time we were tired of being there multiple hours and we all had an hour drive home. Needless to say this place was a huge...

It definitely delivers on the claim of upscale casual dining. The atmosphere was very relaxed, the staff friendly and the area spacious.

The food was phenomenal. I got the fish tacos w/ bean salad. Perfect with every bite. The best fish taco I've ever had.

The menu reminded me a lot of South California / San Diego esque fare. It's seasonal, so maybe that was just the mood they were in. I have to get back there to try out more of these dishes before they're gone!

My wife got the chicken caesar salad and said it was very good (high praise). We also got the pretzel bites / beer-cheese sauce. They were so light and fluffy, I was actually rather jealous... my pretzels are never that light. Maybe I can sneak into the kitchen and learn their secrets.

Price was perfectly suited to the quality and quantity of food. This one is going on my list of "impress out-of-state...

We were in Worcester running errands, and decided to grab dinner and beer. We found the Brew City Grill and Brew House. The service was good, food was good and the beer was good as well. They have a parking lot with side street access. Parking in front as well depending on time of day as there are only 4 or 5 spaces in front. The entrance is in the back so parking in their lot is a smarter choice. The have a full bar of from the main dining area. They have 3 or 4 tvs in main dining area. They have a decent selection of entrees, burgers, appetizers, beer and wines. So there should be something for everyone. Prices are pretty standard for restaurants like this. Would definitely eat here again.

Brew City has been around for years and I have been recently reintroduced to it. Such an underrated restaurant that sits across from the city's most overrated place. Brew City has food that is constant and very good. I'm starting to come here every few weeks now and I recommend the steak tips, burgers, but old faithful is the Mediterranean chicken bowl. Their bowls are unreal. Plenty of parking in a city that struggles with parking is a bonus. I'm not a big beer guy but they've got a great selection. Staff is very friendly. I've had Michelle a few times, super nice.
