From the moment I walked into this charming restaurant, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated—dim ambient lighting paired with rustic wood finishes, cozy booth seating, and soft background music that never intruded on conversation. It felt like the perfect balance between casual comfort and upscale dining.
Now, let’s talk about the food, because that’s where this place truly shines.
I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, and I’ll be thinking about it for a long time. It was absolute perfection on a plate. The chicken was pounded to the ideal thickness—crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. The breading had just the right amount of crunch, and it wasn’t greasy in the slightest. Then there was the marinara sauce: rich, tangy, and clearly made in-house, simmered to a beautiful depth of flavor that complemented the savory mozzarella melted lovingly on top. Each bite was better than the last, and the generous portion made sure I got my fill without it feeling excessive.
The pasta that accompanied it was also excellent—al dente, tossed in a light coating of olive oil and herbs that allowed the chicken to remain the star of the show. And let’s not forget the house-made garlic bread: golden, fluffy inside, with that addictive buttery crunch that makes you forget carbs ever had a downside.
Service was top-notch throughout the meal. The staff were attentive without hovering, friendly without being scripted, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, offering great wine pairing suggestions and checking in at just the right moments.
For dessert, I opted for the brownie—a classic end to an indulgent meal. It had a decadent, fudgy texture and was clearly made with high-quality chocolate. However, if I had one tiny critique (and I mean tiny), it’s that I really wished the brownie had been served warm. That slight gooey melt, that warmth that enhances the richness and makes the vanilla ice cream melt into rivers of cream—it would’ve taken an already great dessert to a whole new level.
But even with that minor note, the overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. This restaurant has mastered the art of making you feel like you’re dining somewhere special while maintaining the comfort of a favorite neighborhood spot. I’ll be back again soon, and next time, I’ll ask if they can warm up that brownie—because trust me, I’m definitely...
Read moreUpon entering the restaurant, my guest and I were greeted by wait staff. We were given the option of sitting at the bar, or in one of the private booths on the side. We elected to sit in the private booth and were seated promptly without reservations, as there were not too many customers during the time. Immediately when we were seated we were provided bottled water and complimentary sourdough bread paired with some olive oil. The bread, though fresh, was cold and bland. As a result it was left untouched throughout the dining experience.
Of note, they also have an extensive wine and dinner list. It was hard to choose which entrees to try. We ended up ordering three entrees that came with either soup or salad: Sicilian grilled salmon, ziti with roasted chicken, and last but not least, the porkbelly pasta which was featured on their limited pig fest menu for the month of October. While we waited for our entrees, we tasted the rice and chicken soup which was light and flavorful. As for the grilled Caesar salad wedge, it was unappetizing and also left untouched the remainder of the dining service.
Our wait staff divided all three entrees into two for my guest and I, and the portion sizes were good.
The Sicilian grilled salmon dish was tasty, I really enjoyed the couscous it was paired with. The salmon was a little dry, but still edible.
The ziti with roasted chicken and porkbelly pasta dishes were a bit bland. Not to mention, there were barely any porkbelly pieces in the pork belly pasta dish. I guess inflation may be taking a toll . It really fell short of expectations given that the porkbelly was supposed to be the star of the show, but rather the taste of the porkbelly was lost in the tart tomato sauce it was served in.
When we were given the bill, our waiter was kind enough to gift us peanut butter chocolate chip gelato which was tasty. Good thing my guest and I weren’t allergic!
For a popular restaurant in Worcester, being that it was my first time there, I was left expecting more. The best part of the restaurant was the ambiance, wait staff and prompt service. The environment was calm and we didn’t feel rushed. Very friendly and professional atmosphere, but that is as good as it gets. Other than that, the food was average. This restaurant gives the impression that it is just an upscale olive garden in disguise, without the warm...
Read moreI have never left a bad review before, but I had to on this place! I had been looking forward to going there since the pandemic was over and what a bad choice.
I went there this past Friday 1-31-2025 for my Birthday and here's what I ordered
1/2 dozen shrimp cocktail- shrimp was like rubber
then had the mozzarella tomato prosciutto lobster appetizer- the prosciutto was a color I've never seen before in my life dark black!
then the final insult
the surf turf and pasta dish-
the most expensive thing on the menu-
my filet came out already SLICED I've never had my filet already sliced before anywhere I've ever been IN MY LIFE and SMOTHERED in a sauce that was horrible- it's like they cut the filet in half and made 2 orders from one filet the reason why I say this I put the slices together and it did not make or form a full filet I've been eating filet forever and never seen this before this place is scamming people (I'LL PUT MONEY ON IT!)
the lobster tail was burnt and like rubber also-
the asparagus was literally like 5 little half sticks of MUSHED asparagus in the sauce so that's all you could taste-
the Bolognese pasta looked like a pile of dog food, and it looked and tasted terrible-
the waiter took the mozzarella app off the bill when he saw the black prosciutto other than that this place could care less about my food experience there
The waiter never even sent a manager over or anyone who would see what the food looked like
I paid the bill and still tipped the waiter who looked like the guy Jax from Sons of Anarchy who I watched the whole time I was seated bite his nails put his fingers in his ear and nose several times to the point I had to tell him he should wash his hands before serving me my final dish
I will never return to this place
Also, if you think I'm lying go there and order the same as me you will be disappointed
PS
THE ONLY GOOD THING I EXPERIENCED HERE THAT I WAS SEATED IN A ROOM FULL OF ATTRACTIVE WOMEN SINCE I'M A BACHELOR I THOUGHT IT WAS UNCANNY AS TO HOW MANY WOMEN WERE THERE WITH NO DATES AS WAS I LOL AT LEAST I HAD SOME COOL WOMEN TO TALK TO AND MEET DID I ALSO TELL YOU I DROVE AND HOUR AND A HALF TO GO TO THIS PLACE AND THERES NO PARKING AND IT WAS RAINING!
There is something worse than wasted talent MY FRIENDS WASTED...
