Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Worcester

We received a JJ gift card for Christmas from family back in Illinois (they didn't realize we didn't have one in Rhode Island). So my fiance and two girls (ages 18mo and 2yr) got in the car and drove the hour and 30 minutes to this Jimmy Johns location. First, the place was CLEAN! There was parking in the street out front, and the staff there were WONDERFUL. We ordered our food and when it was ready, one of the guys started to walk it over because I was balancing my youngest on my hip. I managed to grab the sandwiches and the other man came over and gave me a stack of napkins! And for normal people it's no biggie, but for a parent with toddlers, a stack of napkins is a HUGE deal. COCKROACH in my sandwich!!! My boss’ boss got us all a large catering order for a meeting. It was a great presentation, nicely packaged, seemed freshly made and came with condiments on the side. Well, i opened up my sandwich to add Mayo to it and found a COCKROACH running around in there!!! I spoke with the manager and he did not seem surprised at all. He said “ oh, it must have been the lettuce, though we do triple wash it”. He also did not do anything to reimburse us, when I persisted, he offered ‘MAYBE, next time you come in I could offer you a discount’. As if we would ever come back. I work at a local hospital (not the one across the street) and our unit (15-20 people) orders a few times a month from JJ’s. Using the online app is easy & in two years they have never hit an order incorrect! All of the sandwiches are labeled with who ordered it, and they are always fresh, and filled with meat & veggies, not skimpy like other chains. The drivers are patient & kind, and even during the busiest time of day, the order arrives in less than an hour, usually less than 30 min, and the app updates you as to where they are in the process of getting your sandwiches to you!
