Kenmore Diner - A true blast from the past, this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves good food and a great atmosphere!
From the moment my wife and I walked in, we knew this was going to be a place worth reviewing. The old-school diner aesthetic is stunning, with chrome accents everywhere, black and white checkered floors, shiny red booths, and, of course, amazing food that lives up to the dĂ©cor. The taste will blow your mind, sending you back to 1964, and youâll be planning your next visit before you even step out the door. The menu is extensive, catering to any craving, all while classic tunes like âMr. Sandmanâ play on the radio.
The atmosphere is one of the most amazing parts of Kenmore Diner. The attention to detail is evident, from the beautifully set tables to the nostalgic music that fills the air. And itâs not just about the looksâcleanliness is clearly a priority here. Every surface was spotless, and even the floors were immaculate, which is a rarity, especially in the city. The entire place is so clean and comfortable that you feel right at home. I give it a 10/10 for cleanliness. Itâs truly an experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out.
We were served by Mrs. Amy, a super polite and friendly woman whoâs been part of the Kenmore team for over a decade. Her service added a personal touch to our experience.
For our first visit, I decided to keep it simple and went with the basic breakfast: sausage, bacon, white toast, and loaded home fries. And let me tell you, it was phenomenal! Letâs break it down. The loaded home fries were a star dish, topped with cheddar, bacon, scallions, diced tomatoes, and sour cream. The flavors blended perfectlyâso much so that my wife ate all the home fries before even touching anything else. A solid 10/10.
Next up were the sausage links, cooked to absolute perfection! They were crispy on the outside with a slight crunch and moist and tender on the inside. Honestly, this is the best sausage Iâve ever had in a diner. Another 10/10. Even the toast, which may seem simple, was done rightâperfectly crispy with just the right amount of butter. Yet another 10/10. Finally, the eggs, cooked exactly as I requestedâover-easy and flawless.
Kenmore Diner offers an incredible atmosphere that transports you back to 1964, combined with delicious, mouth-watering food. I canât recommend this place enough. Five out of five stars! I canât wait to come back and try more dishes. Sunday breakfast just got a whole lot better.
If you ever want to meet me, youâll find me at Kenmore Diner every Sunday morning. The food is...
Read moreThis place is incredible! I have been going here my entire life. Since the place opened in the early 70s. From just a baby to my adulthood. Brought my son here in the early 2000s as a baby like when I started. We lived in CT and have lots of family in New Hampshire and Maine. Everytime we went up to visit them we would purposely not eat breakfast to save our appetite for the Kenmore. Countless trips. We would load into my grandparents car and sometimes would have to take two or more cars and caravan up there. The Kenmore was sort of a halfway point that everyone looked forward to. The breakfasts and service were always awesome. My grandfather became friends with the owner way back then in the 70s thru the 80s. Always Great food. Always Great service. I have so many memories of the Kenmore. Even one where we had a hearse in our caravan when a relative died in CT but was to be buried in NH. I believe I was 12. I remember that trip like yesterday. It made a sad time a little easier and sort of comical as the relative who died used to frequent the Kenmore during their very long life when she used to make the trip from CT to NH and Maine. Even stopping at the Kenmore one last time. She would of found that very funny. I'm sure she was looking down and laughing then. Now I hope my son continues stopping at the Kenmore and keeps the tradition going with his family when he goes up north to visit the family in NH and Maine for years to come. Listen. Just stop and eat at the Kenmore..You will not regret it. Easy Location. Great Food. Great Service. Can not recommend the Kenmore...
Read morePerfect âgreasy spoon dinerâ atmosphere and food and service. I really like the ambiance of it being an old railway car. The menu selection is what youâd expect breakfast and lunch. Reasonably priced, a bit more than I expected but itâs been a long time since I used to eat at these sort of places, so itâs entirely possible that that is what the cost is supposed to be. We paid, about $25, for breakfast for two people, that included tip if I remember correctly. But I only had water to drink, because they couldnât do my standard breakfast diner drink order, tea with lemon and honey - they had neither the lemon nor the honey (and thatâs where they lost a star, because I really like having a hot drink with breakfast and Iâm not a coffee drinker; this is the first place where I havenât been able to get tea to my satisfaction and Iâve travel world wide, tea with milk and sugar (in the English style for sweet milk tea) was also not an option because the tea and tea bags they had would not have worked with that. And that concludes my ramble about their lack of drinkable tea). Really good omelettes, breakfast menu overall was very thorough. I wish if I could remember categorically if they served breakfast all day, I want to say yes... !!! CASH ONLY !!! They do have an ATM on site, but if you donât want to pay $3 for withdrawing your cash from a questionable ATM not affiliated with any...
