literally will dream of this place until I can visit again! the brunch menu was the perfect mix, with a great mix of sweet and savory options. we arrived to a small line outside right at 10am on a Sunday, without reservations. luckily, we were able to slide into a table! I would highly recommend coming right before open if you don't have a reservation for brunch. had we waited 10 more minutes, we wouldn't have gotten a table. by 11am the place was packed and vibing.
all food and drink we ordered was outstanding. what we ordered & what we thought: drinks - Boody Mary with tequila: excellent. I got spicy and it was the exact level you want without the impending heart burn. great ratio of alcohol to tomato juice to large ice cubes so it didn't immediately become watered down and you could sip & enjoy golden slate: so refreshing. loved the mulled cider with the juice & vodka. a bit small but still delish. food - pumpkin pancakes: we split this between 3 people as an app and omg the flavor! loved how they were thick but fluffy, and had a crunch mixed in. I'm not a pumpkin flavor gal, but you could tell the spice and maple mix was intentional to make this have the best balance of flavor. quiche: enormous!!! but so fluffy and good, the leek was a really great mix in. the egg wasn't dense like you find in a lot of quiches, balance of veg and egg. breakfast sandwich: so incredible, perfect soft egg, but so messy!! prepare the napkins! Mac and cheese: I added bacon and mushroom, but they were out of mushroom so switched that to caramelized onion. y'all - believe the hype. this Mac and cheese is amazing. the oversized shells & the thin sliced onion & the baked breadcrumbs? wow! you know how sometimes you get Mac n cheese and the flavor is all in the cheese? the noodles are just there as a vessel for the cheese? not here. this Mac n cheese somehow had injected flavor into each shell. mind blowing flavor. it wasn't goopy or watery or too thick where it coats your mouth - so I don't know how they're pulling this magic but it was awesome.
service was also extremely thoughtful, from the host to the server, everyone was welcoming and nice. I felt like the service at brunch might get dicey after the place filled up but that was not the case. we did not have to track down our server once, she was attentive to each table in our section.

Read moreI thought it was the garden place on main st. I had an 18 $ "the double smash burger", & very high quality cup of joe, 4, or 5 $, 1 cup of coffee, the cup was very good quality, no reciept given, with use of credit card. My brain forgot to look for it? Great service, even the prep of food nice, ie: temperature, kept proper wile in fridge etc, but I prefer a raw patty, & rare. That is impossible, due to code, all meat must hit 160f°, or a big "no no" in USA, & care, clean, but loud, crowded on this St Patrick's day, @ 3:30 pm, near our Worcester court, evening time 4 pm, 4.99 tip. I'd rather go to Las Vages, same prices, way better food, & I say that only because the cook can only do as much as he/she can with what they are given to prep, & cook. Or, I'd prefer to go to Foxwoods, the Win Corporation, Thompson Ct. I'm positive the vegan option would of been fantastic, & politically correct choice, I'm just very, old, & prefer a rare, & meaty protien. Obviously a frozen patty, even told frozen, lmao. We live, & learn. Rush here before it closes! If you like extreemly high prices, & a group of people that can afford those prices, discriminating, of who will be able to afford, even a cup of coffee, this is your place. Dark curtains at the door. Un-inviting to the "riff raf" to look in, or feel invited. I was in my worst clothes, I looked like a bum from the streets. Litterally in rags due to, laundry, & moving, etc, & I was treated as if dressed in chic clothes, so the quality of staff, is impecable! Top shelf, recomend highly. I looked half dead, with a cane, 65, & hard of hearing. I lived in N C, Ashville, a very short time, in the 90's, & the quality places would have a 10$ cover charge, just to enter. I asked why, because it was nothing special, just exclusive. I was told, it was to exclude, "those" who couldn't pay. So I believe that may be the case now, after the china flue, of 22. Those looking for an extremly clean, & healthy place to breath, & eat, this is...

Address: 144 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608
After a day at the Big E in Springfield, my wife and I were looking for a restaurant on our way to Fall River. We came across Armsby Abbey, which had high ratings and positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations.
Positives: Nice decor and clean establishment Friendly waitress Tasty corn fritters with bacon-infused maple syrup and chives
Negatives: Grilled chicken wings lacked seasoning and salt Major issues with the Gochujang Chicken Sandwich: Initially served with kimchi aioli despite requesting it without Replacement sandwich was extremely overcooked and inedible Poor handling of the situation by management
The Sandwich Debacle: I ordered the Gochujang Chicken Sandwich without several components, including the kimchi aioli. When it arrived with the aioli, I sent it back. The replacement sandwich appeared to be the same one, simply reassembled. It was so overcooked that it was impossible to eat – I nearly damaged a tooth trying to bite into it.
Customer Service Failure: When I reported the issue to our waitress, she apologized and said she'd speak with the manager. However, the sandwich still appeared on our bill. Upon questioning this, we were told the manager refused to remove the charge.
The manager then approached our table, insisting we pay for one sandwich since they had to make two. I explained that both attempts were their mistakes, but he was unsympathetic and rude, essentially forcing us to pay for an inedible meal.
Conclusion: In all my years of dining out, I've never felt so disrespected by a restaurant. The combination of kitchen errors and poor management response makes it impossible for me to recommend Armsby Abbey. If I could give it less than one...
