Amazing Atmosphere & Great Food – A Few Small Misses

We had a wonderful dining experience at Luna Bar & Bistro last night! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the beautiful decor and inviting vibe. The color scheme, glassware, and overall ambiance were stunning, and everything was impeccably clean.

Our server, Hassan, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made excellent recommendations, which we really appreciated.

We started with drinks; I had the Meteor Shower, which was absolutely delicious, and my husband tried a Long Drink, which he also enjoyed. For our appetizer, we chose the Burrata Bruschetta. The flavors were spot on, and the tomatoes were incredibly fresh. However, the burrata was a bit drier than expected, and the crostini was a little too hard for our liking.

For entrées, I ordered their Surf & Turf special—a 6oz filet and lobster tail. Both were cooked to perfection! The filet was seasoned beautifully and had the perfect medium doneness I requested. The lobster tail was tender, poached perfectly, and paired well with the lemon and butter. The zip sauce was also a standout! My only critiques were that some of my vegetables were over-charred, and the potato pavé was a bit too crispy.

My husband had the 14oz ribeye, also cooked to medium, and it was perfect—juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful. However, his vegetables were on the opposite end of the spectrum—undercooked and too firm.

To finish off my birthday dinner, we shared the Lemon Blueberry Mascarpone Cake, and it was amazing! The balance of flavors was perfect, not overly sweet, with a lovely muffin-like texture. Served with vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect ending to our meal.

Overall, the food was great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Pricing felt fair for the quality, but we just wish the vegetables had been prepared with a little more care. Despite that, we’ll definitely be back to try more dishes—especially for special...

A True Fine Dining Gem in the Downriver Area This Wyandotte restaurant truly defines the essence of fine dining. From the moment you step inside, atmosphere that perfectly balances elegance and warmth. The décor is tastefully curated, with dim lighting and intimate setting. Its a small place with no more than 50 seats.

The service at Luna is nothing short of impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, It's clear that they are well-trained and genuinely passionate about providing a memorable dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food—each dish is a masterpiece. The lobster bisque is a star in its own right; rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, it's the perfect way to start your meal. The appetizers are equally impressive; whether it's the calamari or the cauliflower, every bite showcases the chef's commitment to quality and creativity.

For the main course, the lamb chops are a must-try. Cooked to perfection, they are tender and flavorful, accompanied by rainbow carrots, green beans, and the best risotto I have ever had. Each bite is a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail.

In summary, Luna is a standout in the Downriver area for anyone seeking a true fine dining experience. With exceptional service, an inviting ambiance, and exquisite food, it’s an establishment that elevates dining to an art form. Whether it's a special occasion or just a night out, this restaurant is sure to impress. Highly...

The atmosphere with the Jay at the piano and Marvin on vocals was excellent! It was the highlight of the evening!!! Then lobster bisque was flavorful but lacking actual bits of real lobster! My husband's rainbow trout was above average with the potatoes the highlight of the dish. My lamb chops were a big disappointment! They were definitely frozen first! I asked for medium rare and they were served well done! I asked for the lamb chops to be remade only to be disappointed a second time! It took another 15 minutes for the lamb chops to be served!! Then the lamb chops were cold and raw! Two of the 5 chops were cooked medium rare! It took over an hour for the main courses to be served. We were told that the chef was in training! Where was the supervision from the owner and head chef? Our server Aurora was above average. She did compensate us but to spend 2+ hours for food be correct is not worth it! Would we try this establishment again? NO!! Not at these...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Luna Bar & Bistro in Wyandotte, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! The modern and upscale interior creates an inviting yet sophisticated ambiance, I was very impressed. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the food though. The calamari was perfectly crispy, tender, and also had a hint of heat at the end that I loved! And the lamb chops? Simply divine! cooked to perfection, juicy, and bursting with flavor. They were hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had. The waitstaff was equally impressive. Polite, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, they made excellent recommendations and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was impeccable. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!

The atmosphere in this place is so lovely! My favorite dish was the Luna chicken (not pictured). It comes with a parmesan risotto that will have you finishing every bite on your plate. I would highly recommend this dish! I also really liked the Luna wedge salad and I’m not a salad person. The lobster bisque is very rich and flavorful. I couldn’t finish the whole bowl. The Ahi tuna tartare was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, this place has great food and I am excited to go back and try their braised short ribs and mushroom bisque!
