Well - I'll tell ya. About five years ago, I was a patron at least twice a week. Then my car gave up the ghost and I was no longer able to get there. So I found places anew, and closer. My usual Tuesday place was out, as my waitress was off. My other stand-by was closed and for unknown reason. So Nanna's came to mind, and away I went. To make a long story short, they have a new policy at Nanna's: if you are solo, you are no longer allowed to sit at a booth......two or more only! Since I am blessed with a broken back and need the support of a booth, my going back to Nanna's will never happen again. And to think the place was empty except for four people. I wonder how many old and new customers they lose a day?
This practice does seem to be a trend. After my eating at Zorba's in Riverview for close to 40 years, they now have the same policy, which means I can no longer eat there, either. Zorba's of Flat Rock would never tolerate such behavior towards a solo customer, and I am welcome there anytime.
In years past, Nanna's was never that slow when I would go in on a regular basis. I can name a good guess as to why. As I told the waitress: Nanna's was just one of almost 30 places I can go to eat. Tell the boss he just lost me again. And out the...
Read moreI would not recommend this place to any one that looks like me. I felt very uneasy and unwanted here I didn’t get a chance to read over the menu because the waiter kept standing over me asking what I wanted so I just said chicken and waffles when I got it it came with gravy so I was kinda taken back so I asked them can they make it without gravy but if it was going to be a problem I’ll just try it as is so the gentleman took it back so another server came by and brought me the chicken and waffles slammed it on the table once it was remade and said I was lucky the cook remade it because I could’ve read the menu better and seen it said it comes with gravy well I could’ve if I wasn’t being rushed to order I could’ve read over the menu if it wasn’t someone standing at the end of the table looking like they hated life I just asked for the bill, paid & left. I was highly disappointed in the food anyways, I hated the weird stares from every one there it’s 2024 I have been treated better at an Alabama gas station with confederate...
Read moreWhat am enjoyable and relaxing lunch here at Nanna's Kitchen. Outside seating with beautiful street views of locals shopping and walking. Lots of flowers. Kinda nice waitress(didn't seem to care much about serving me) sadly, it was extremely unwelcoming, but the food was great. Best thing. I was able to leave and choose to never go back. Life's way too, short to spend good hard money, on really bad attitudes.... just to eat out. Yep. Lots of other places to choose from, where I don't feel discriminated. It actually made me cry afterwards. My company was appalled as much, however, we both stayed nice. Made the best of it. A perfect day for outdoor seating- funny how no one wanted to enjoy it, except my company and myself🤭🤔 Can't relax at a place you don't feel wanted, needed, nor excepted. Definitely unacceptable and unacceptable, hence, why I'll never go back after telling all my friends who...
