Worse customer service. I went in Monday to order my son’s birthday cake and the owner’s son was there. He called his mom over the phone and they got all the details of my order then he hang out the phone and he told me to come pick it on Saturday, I told him I can not be there on Saturday since I will be working and he said you can come by on Sunday then I confirmed with him twice and he said you can come on Sunday between 10:00 and 4:00. I know I shouldn’t trust him since he didn’t put it in the receipt but I confirmed with him twice. Today I called his mom the baker and she seemed like her son didn’t tell her anything about picking up the cake on Sunday and they both ruined my son’s birthday theme because of the miscommunication between them and she told me to pick the cake after the birthday party. I bought a premade cake here on 10/19. At the same time, I ordered a custom cake for 10/28. We were very unhappy with the cake that I bought. It was dry and the frosting did not taste good. She then explained that those cakes stay in the refrigerator for WEEKS - no wonder it was terrible despite costing $46. On 10/23, I tried to call and cancel the custom cake. However, they refused to cancel my order even though I was unhappy with the previous cake. It's important note that my order was a simple cake (white frosting only). Her defense was that she had to order glitter and a ribbon - as if she does not have those on hand (pink glitter and a pink ribbon - nothing fancy). We walked in and spoke with the owner Sharonda, who was very nice and funny and professional. We had been to a few other places and still had a place to go to get a quote. We came back to Bakers D’Lite because we enjoyed speaking to her so much and knew we wanted to get our wedding cake there. Sharonda we knew would give us exactly what we wanted and boy did she, and more. She incorporated two stories we told her about into our wedding cake, and both stories being very personal so it was an amazing thing to see when she delivered the cake and set it up for us.
