BEWARE!!!! We had my son’s 6th birthday here in October. We were all so excited for a ballocity party. When we arrived, his party was actually being held downstairs in a room rather than up in ballocity. It was a huge let down. No one had communicated prior to party time that it wouldn’t be in ballocity. We asked why they overbooked and why no one told us about this when over the phone and in email the party was to be held in ballocity. They claimed they did not overbook and this is just how they did things, no apologies or anything. We also told our guests the party was upstairs so some people didn’t find the party at all. It was an overpriced, boring experience!!! The kids thankfully had punch balloons that I had brought to play with from their goody bags but there was a little pizza oven in the room and servers were coming and going to pick up food. They were definitely annoyed at my son and his friends running around while they waited for pizza and to actually go play. After half the party time, we were told after we ate we could go upstairs to play for as long as we want. But at this point, no one wanted to even stay for long so all the friends that came left after maybe a half hour. it was just a waste of so much money for nothing. The first party host we had was some older lady who was miserable and not pleasant or helpful. Definitely was the most frustrating thing and BEWARE if you want to do a party here. They won’t give you a choice but may end up throwing you downstairs in a boring room with NOTHING to do for a majority of the part even though you pay so much money for kids to have a party at ballocity. Terrible experience and will not be doing parties anymore.
exiting to add a response to the owner, Chip. Nothing about this was OK. For starters, I never received an email like I have in the past for previous parties. So that was never communicated to me. Also, on the phone, the party was to be held in ballocity There was never any mention that the party could end up being moved to a different room not up in ballocity. Your comment is my exact point to the review I made. There is no communication. And then at the party I was told oh well people love it down here. Well if that’s the case, that people love the party room that’s not up in ballocity, then they could have communicated to everyone that they needed to have a party put down there and they could’ve asked prior to scheduling it not in ballocity. There is zero communication and we got the crap end of the stick. Also, if people love it so much they could’ve put somebody else there who wanted to be there and love it because we did not. My kids and the entire party were bored stuck doing nothing for over an hour. We paid an insane amount of money for mediocre pizza and a terrible experience. And I just wanted people to realize that. And through all this not once had anyone even said sorry including you in this comment which was really crazy to me since you’re the owner I just want people to be aware of how this business is run. I also don’t want there to be any other kids out there getting their expectations up for something that’s not as fun as they were hoping for for their birthday party. You wrecked my son’s birthday and not once did anyone...

When we walked in, the energy wasn't welcoming. The food wasn't up to standard. I ordered brocolli Fettuccine Alfredo, side salad and a mix drink. The sause was creamy with little to no flavor, the noodles were very over cooked. The garlic bread taste like freezer burn! The broccoli was so hard and undesirable. The mix drink taste like a child put it together. Next my husband ordered the chicken Fajitas. They brought one thing out at a time, different people serving the food which is fine but didn't seem like they were insinc with one another. We recieved the food before the utensils and napkins. The chicken was very... uncolored. Little to no flavor, the rice was over cooked with too much water added. The to-go cups are super cheap, I thought my child was going to squish to hard and bust the cup open! Not ideal for children. I orderd my kids meals, The pizza, mini burgers and fries. My children LOVE fries. I asked for them to be well done/crispy and well they were limp in most areas. Sad. Very sad. My kids left a good amount on their plates and wasn't even worth taking anything home! We visited the Works about 5 Year ago, and in that time of absence this place has gotten so much worse. I would NOT recommend eating here. I guess the best entertainment at the table was coocoo the magician! He gets it!
The game room looks so run down. We only decided to load $20 on the game card because their wasn't a bunch of FUN eye appealing games offered. The classic Mario was a hit, & skee ball. We earned over 300 tickets but that isn't alot to this place. We walked away with two mouth toys, and the rest in Tootsie rolls bc what else is worth it in those cases?? A "big prize" was a small ball or small pig... we picked the ball but how sad were we when we didn't receive a "Big prize" how the ticket had mentioned. Expecting a over sized animal would of been surfice.
Over-all I know the world hates working but we need to do better as businesses to get back on track! Thanks for taking the time to read, hope...
Read moreI have never taken time to create a profile and write a review before, but it was necessary after the disgusting treatment my family and I received tonight at The Works Restaurant. Today was my son’s birthday, and we came to The Works to celebrate his day and ate at the restaurant. We spent over $150, gave a 20% tip and even shared some of his birthday cake with our waitress and other staff. We understood The Works closes at 10pm, so at 9:45pm we began to get our belongings together. At 9:50pm, after my son was opening his last gift and we were beginning to leave. The Works staff shut off all the lights! Although we were still gathering our belongings, without light we were forced to leave right away at 9:55pm in the complete darkness. We were not able to tell if we gathered all our belongings before we left the restaurant. Shutting off the lights without notice was completely outrageous and unacceptable and I’m still in complete disbelief! It was extremely disrespectful and dangerous to have my family walk through the restaurant in darkness. This was the first time my family and I have been to the Works Restaurant, and it will be the last. I have never in my life experienced such horrible treatment. To shut the lights off and have your customers walk down the restaurant steps in the dark is outrageous. Your employees created a dangerous situation by turning the restaurant lights off while we were still inside the building. Even more concerning is that they did this without considering any medical conditions that your customers’ might have. My mother has a severe foot injury, and it was unbelievably scary for her to walk down the restaurant steps in total darkness. To end our night in darkness while we were celebrating my son’s birthday is beyond disappointing. Once we got outside of The Works Restaurant they turned all the lights back on ! What a way to...
