Alex who reported to be the Manager today (6/10/2024 @6:30pm) refused to give me the contact information for either his manager or corporate.
Me and my friends placed two separate online orders to be ready at 6:15pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:05pm. Someone came to the front counter when we arrived and asked if we wanted to order. We said, "we placed two online orders," and then proceeded to sit down. After about 10 min I saw a few online orders placed on the counter. I went up to check if it was our orders. The bags had the receipt taped to them but the bags were turned so that the receipts could not be seen from the customer side of the counter. I turned the bag around and saw that the first receipt had my friend's name on it. Immediately an employee then came rushing up, grabbed the bag and said loudly, "you're not supposed to touch the bags." I said, "they should be facing the other direction so we can see the names on the bag." She yelled, "that's not how we do it here." Without yelling, I said, "Actually, the names are supposed to be facing out so you can see the names on them. The online order pick-up instructions say to look for your name." She then started yelling for someone else, "Alex, this guy is yelling at me. Are you going to come help me?"
I took the bag that had my friend's name on it and returned to my seat. While we started eating, we could clearly hear her continue to yell to her fellow employee/manager about us. After another 5 minutes, I went to the counter trying to get my order. The manager Alex approached and asked for my last name. I told him. My last name for the past 3+ years after marrying my partner. This is the last name on my credit card and the last name that paid for the order. He said there was no order for that name. I showed him my phone which showed my online order receipt and order number and even read off the last 4 numbers of the order number. He looked at the receipt on the bag that was still on the counter facing away from the customers and said it was not my order. (Spoiler alert: it was my order and it had been on the counter from the time I picked up my friend's order.) Interesting fact, there are no order numbers on the online order receipts. He didn't ask any additional questions to verify if that was my order.
So I returned to my seat. After another 5 minutes, I again returned to the counter asking for my order. Alex again told me there was no order under my name. I tried my first name, Joseph, and he again told me no. I again showed him my phone receipt and asked for my order. He said, "I can't make any food that's not in my system." (How can this manager ever rectify an incorrect order if this is the case?) I again referenced my order number. Not knowing that this number appears to have zero relevance or utilization inside the store. I asked Alex to look more closely at my phone. He said, "That could be a screenshot." I read the items I had on my order. Again, he did nothing to try and identify my order or correct the fact that it was now 15 minutes past when my order was supposed to be ready. He offered no solution and every solution I suggested he disregarded. When I asked, "how am I supposed to get the food I've paid for?" He said, "you should be able to cancel the online order. (This was false, because it had already been paid for and made by the restaurant.)
I attempted to prove that my online order was not a screenshot and was in fact the live App. In so doing, I clicked onto my profile to show the dynamic nature of what was on my phone and discovered that my profile had my old last name. Probably because I first created my Arby's online account several years ago, which linked to the App I only recently downloaded. When I said, my new last name he identified that the order which I was originally trying to look at, right after I turned my friend's bag around was in fact my order and it had been sitting there on the counter for over 20 minutes. She placed the coupon next to another coupon she had received when she gave me my drinks I asked for a carrier for the drinks. She responded very rudelyand said "I asked if you wanted one." She never did but she gave it to me. When she gave me my food I noticed that my fries were missing. I brought it to her attention and she again responded rudely and said no to the fries and walked away. I found the coupon I had given to her and told her it does include fries. She immediately took the coupon and basically told me in harsh tone: "you didn't give this coupon". I told her she was wrong that I did give that coupon. She displayed another coupon she had received from someone else. I told her ,No, I gave you the right coupon that included fries. She again raised her rudely voice and insisted she was right. She finally asked for my receipt where she saw that it did include fries. She stopped for an instant and said I was right and proceeded to give me the fries. Read more12/20/22 - 4 Stars Meet some friends here today for lunch. Had a great visit and the location was good travel distance for both of us. Parking lot was clear of snow, no problems. Some lots are retty bad around town.
Food, price & service were just as expected.
8/162022 - 4 Stars Another good visit. My wife and I split the new "Greek Gyro - with Lamb" besides our own individual items. We both enjoyed this new item, the pita bread was really good, the Lamb was tasty (I normally don't enjoy lamd). We both wish it had a bot more of the sauce. Will order the Gyro again, if it is still around.
4/19/2022 - 4 Stars The facility still looks great inside. The service is pretty quick and the food is consistent with what I expect to get for the reasonable price I pay. Will return.
