Jessie's Sushi & Teriyaki — Restaurant in Yakima

We’ve heard this place was great- so we had to go see for ourselves! As we walked in, a nice man in a “Jessie’s” shirt greeted us in the parking lot, if this was the owner, just know that little gesture meant a lot to us. I chose pork teriyaki with noodles. My husband got the spicy beef yakisoba sub fried rice. Kids got various kids menu items. Mine was absolutely amazing- teriyaki on point!! My husbands was… wait for it—amazing too!! Great portions and lovely salads to go with; great prices even! Being that it is relatively new, I’d say based on the business and food, they are on the fast track to somewhere great!

The only two things I’d say I’d would like to see (IMHO) would be a sign at the door (maybe even some menus handy) because we stood there for a hot minute wondering if we seat ourselves. When we sat down there were tables around us that that had to ask for menus because we got ours before they did. So just something on the door telling people what to do, would really help productivity.

The other thing? My husband is a FRIED RICE CONNOISSEUR 🤣 his words after we ordered were “if this fried rice is as good as those plates look, we will be back here every weekend.” He was STOKED looking at the plates around us; but after he got his food, said the fried rice wasn’t great. Seemed like white rice with veggies, not fried, not a lot of flavor.

I wish I can upload a picture of peoples orders that just sit on the counter. 10 plus minutes at a time, my food sat there, I'm sure most of them were call in orders, I wouldn't call in my order or door dash it, simply for the fact that the orders are made immediately and sit there... 5he food was great and so was the sushi, I'd definitely come back, but the servers are the worst, I've been here twice both times I can never get any of there attention to wave them down for napkins or refills, I ordered a plate to go and I saw my order sit there for about 10 minutes, I assumed it was a to go order because they started lining up other orders, meanwhile the girls were just chatting away away unaware of what's going on or even willing to care, after the chef said who's order isp this, one of the girls tried to bring it to me and I stated it had been there for a long time, if I can have it remade or a refund and she really tried to deny me and said it hasn't been 10 minutes, which it had and proceeded to explain that it was still warm,she takes it back and I hear the boss tell th in Spanish that they were just standing around while our food was just sitting there.
