I usually go to Yakima Olive every week or two & have family or company meet me there at Olive Garden in Yakima. Who ever I'm with-- We choose to eat the wonderful Food-- all of the food is Great! We choose the Bar because it's not as noisy ( as my hearing is not Grand). All the waiters, waitresses are wonderful-- I repeated to the supervisors -- didn't matter which waiter or waitress it was-- They are so far wonderful & we are completely satisfied. Than at times the supervisors ask which specific waiter or waitress that served up us. I'm well aware of a supervisors job is--- check on if we are satisfied with all the staff, atmosphere, ECT. Today we were asked if we had tried a specific wine & offered a free sample. My reply was Thank you & no Thank you. Our very good compliments on the delicious food, & the wonderful service & a polite no thank to the sample of wines--- Should be sufficient to the supervisor. Also the supervisor is doing their job-- I respect that. However, I have Very Little Precious time with whoever I'm with! I spend a fortune bringing whomever I'm with for lunch & try until cant-- give them a good Tip. Again my point is -- If we are satisfied with the food & staff & say no thank you to the wine sample-- than I want to get back to my precious time with company. I would definitely let the supervisor personally be aware of I have a complaint. This time is Soooo important because I travel from Prosser WA to Yakima to meet with people. Gas for my vehicle, $ for food & A tip For Whoever Is Waiting On Us--- So please supervisors be brief -- I know it's your job. Now The Parking Lot--- Everyone Needs To Be On Alert And Take Precautions ---- It Is Very Dangerous -- I Mean Very Dangerous No Matter What Your Age Is!!!!! I Regret To Say -- It is Dangerous Wherever You Go. Whether It's the grocery store, gas station, chain store, Always be aware Of Your Surroundings!! So if any Business is wanting the public to rate Parking -- It would Be No Star Rating. My hope is people are Actually Reading This and Not A Computer counting Stars. PS I have ordered Take Out As Well -- totally satisfied!! Also don't forget the cooks, dishwashers, & person's leading us to our table. Everyone is doing their job & appreciated-- of course supervisors as well. Someday, financially or physically might not be able meet & eat Olive Garden. Majority of people are just getting by. When & if we have to go somewhere else-- it will be very sad....
Read moreI’m not sure if it was just an off night, but this was the worst dining experience we have ever had.
Our server (Courtney) waited us and we immediately felt disrespected as a group and it continued throughout our night.
We asked to order a Cabernet, and asked her opinion on which was the best and she replied “I’m not the person to be asking”. After deciding on the wine (there was only one Cab, she could’ve just led that), we realized one of us didn’t have our ID’s (all of age, though we are young so I understand carding), but when tried to present a scanned copy of the ID she cut us off before listening to our explanation. We understand the law that is in place, but the tone she used was rude.
While ordering our food, we again asked for a suggestion between two dishes. Her reply was “well I don’t know, I like this entree instead so I guess I’m not much help”. After placing our orders for our entrees. breadsticks, and salads, we waited patiently as anyone would when dining out. Our breadsticks came out at a normal time, along with our sauces that were ordered, she brought out extras which was nice.
After than we waited for another 10 minutes or so for the salad. We found this strange as every Olive Garden experience we have had we’ve always received the two together. Not two minutes after receiving our salad, our entrees arrived. When asked about cheese she seemed judgmental that we were wanting any at all.
At this time, we had drinks that needed refilled and she did not return to refill our drinks until we nearly done with our meals. At this point she asked if we wanted more salad. When we responded that yes, we would like more salad, she said “so, you do actually want me to go make you another salad?”. She also stated something about another server already going home, not sure what that had to do with us ordering a salad… The tone was just very condescending.
At the end of the meal, there was a mess up on the receipt. When we pointed out that she double charged us for one of the items she replied (without even checking the receipt), “no I didn’t”. We had to point it out to her on the machine and then she realized the mistake and went back to fix it. Which took some time. Our experience just took a very long time which isn’t one person’s fault, but we ended up spending more time at this established than we would’ve liked and didn’t enjoy much of it. All of us are servers as well, it was just disappointing. Thank you...
Read moreOn Saturday February 24th while eating dinner at the Olive Garden in Yakima, my friend and I were having dinner when all of the sudden maybe a couple of minutes after our food was ordered we heard a loud noise of glass or plates shatter and break as our table was right around near the kitchen, we didn’t think much of the noise as it’s probably normal background noise for an establishment of this type. We then proceeded to wait for our food, we waited about 15-20 minutes and then our food was served by the waiter named Mora, like 2 minutes after I noticed my friend made a painful grimace right after she ate some salad, she immediately started showing signs of being in pain and distress, she felt something sharp and very hard and luckily she was able to spit it out, it was a white piece of ceramic dish about ¾ inch in length and about a 1cm thick, she was bleeding profusely from the Inside of her mouth to the point that all of the napkins that we had in our table were quickly used by my friend in her attempt to stop the flow of blood, the bleeding wouldn’t stop, I immediately notified our waiter Mora of the problem, Mora went back and got the manager and brought some gauze but the cut on my friends inner mouth was deep. I went ahead and rushed her to the Hospital to be seen right away. Couple of days later she received a rude phone call from an Olive Garden rep not even asking once how she was or how she was feeling, just a rude “why didn’t you use your own insurance for the hospital” the representative was very rude her name was Latoya Dickerson from Gallagher. Also we strictly followed the directions from the Olive Garden manager which were just have them call a phone number provided to us by her and that they would take care of everything. This is...
