Edit once again....We stopped by this past weekend and Alex made THE MOST DELICIOUS watermelon goodness! It was his own creation too! Such great service! Oh....and Alex only works Thur-Sat!! He's a keeper!!!
EDIT TO UPDATE SECOND VISIT: Our group decided to give this place another try and we had a completely different experience! We opted to sit outside because there was a lot of activity to watch on Yakima Ave w/preparations for the Yakima Mile. Ty, the bartender/waiter, was the only one working but he was on-point with service! He made me a delicious Old Fashioned even though I was incredibly skeptical. :-) The happy hour nachos were the perfect size, price and were pretty tasty! We made another attempt at the pepperoni pizza...this time w/Canadian bacon...and it wasn't nearly as greasy. My husband noted that the crust/dough was better than most places. We were all pleased w/our drinks, food and service! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Ty, for the great experience!
This is the first time we have been here with the new ownership. It's definitely more "restaurant"ish and not so "bar"ish anymore. Clean. Newly painted....even the old mural is gone! :-(((((
We came in as a group of 6 and had great service in the beginning as the place only had a couple of tables occupied at the time. We ordered our drinks and food - the bartender was great with making an off-the cuff drink for me! - but when the food came, we were pretty much left on our own as other people came in. Definitely understaffed or just not into wanting to help our table. The garlic fries were good but the pizza was VERY greasy...as in puddles of orange grease sitting on top and lots underneath. We had to dab both side with napkins. The meatballs in the meatball sandwich were a bit spongy. When we were ready for the tab, we had to literally walk around the place to find our waitress just to pay our tab. Had we rec'd better service, we would have stayed for more drinks! When it was clear we were forgotten about, we decided to walk to another restaurant. Maybe we'll try it...

Would give this place 0 stars if I could!!!!! As a regular patron and Terrace Heights resident, I’ve always enjoyed Sportscenter— until now. I recently obtained a court-ordered protection order against an ex-boyfriend who has repeatedly harassed and threatened me, including multiple incidents at this very bar. I informed security of the situation weeks in advance.
Despite this, I was inexplicably denied entry during my most recent visit, while the man I filed against — who has a serious criminal history including domestic violence and assault — was allowed inside. No explanation was given, and I was left feeling humiliated and deeply uncomfortable.
I am a medical student, with no criminal history, and a Black woman. Being barred while my abuser, who is white, was welcomed sends a disturbing message: that victims of harassment, especially women of color, are not protected or believed.
This experience reflects poor judgment and raises serious concerns about racial discrimination and patron safety. My friends and I will not be returning to Sportscenter, because no establishment should enable the continued victimization of women or ignore legitimate...
Read moreOverall this was a good experience. Kids are allowed to eat and play pool during the day. The Buffalo hot wings were awesome! The pizza was good. Couple of things...like most places, they were short-staffed so we had to wait long periods of time for service in intervals. Some of the staff were very good at recognizing we were waiting too long and were very apologetic. Truth is, that is happening across most industries right now so our mindset is kinda, "unless it is observed as deliberate or senseless--be patient."
The one caution I would point out is that the filling in the calzone is very tasty but the calzone is incredibly small for $18--think the size of 2 highschool pizza pockets. And although I liked that the dough was from scratch, the crust was lacking flavor--garlic butter would have really kicked it up. Again, filling was incredible, but very small and the crust was bland. I probably would have been very happy with it at $8, but was...
