This is an updated review for the Bagel Train in Yardley. I am a fairly regular customer there and have always appreciated the exceptional quality of their product which is why I'm willing to pay over $10 for a breakfast sandwiche, a small coffee and a small bottle of orange juice. The last time I was in there I was told I couldn't have the egg on my sandwich scrambled in case they got busy. All sandwiches need to be made the same way for speed and ease of production. There was 6 people working that I could see and besides myself there was 1 other customer waiting in the store. Needless to say this not only did not make sense to me but in my mind they charge top dollar for their product, the least they could do is make it the way a customer requests. I'm sure I'm not the only person who would like their egg scrambled on their $6.00 sandwich. In the time he took explaining to me why they wouldn't scramble my egg it could have been on the grill and almost done. I hate when businesses get so cocky that they don't think that customer satisfaction is an important factor for them anymore. You shouldn't treat paying customers that way, especially the ones you recognize! You'd think with as many negative comments from customers as they have that they might take a look at how they're talking to people and what they're saying. They act like they're doing you a favor if they allow you to pay them for an order you can't get the way you want....
Read moreI recently started a new job in which I am doing presentations that include either a continental breakfast or lunch. Stopped into the bagel train probably for the first time in five years. I was the only one in the store and two people were working behind the counter. I asked if the bagels I was ordering could be sliced. The woman behind the counter could not have been more unpleasant when she pointed to a sign that read bagels sliced on demand only when you pre-order. then she continued to complain about how she was understaffed, even though I was the only one in the store at 9:45 AM and there were two people behind the counter. I said perhaps she should offer the service as Dunkin’ Donuts does for a higher price to which I got another nasty reply. And I said to her you know what I probably will go back to Dunkin’ Donuts next time. She got even crankier! And I asked her if she were the owner of this store… her reply was well as a matter of fact I am. I find it hard to believe that this woman is the owner, but if she is now I understand why she’s short staffed….. Who would want to work for someone that had a blatant disregard for her customers and people in general. I will not be back, and I don’t care if I pay more somewhere else I’d rather be...
Read moreMy mom has a new sesame allergy so I've gotten into the habit of always asking if any baked goods have sesame. (You'd be surprised how many are sneakily made with sesame flour.) I asked the man at the counter who told me he was almost sure the cinnamon raisin bagel was sesame-free but wanted to double-check. He asked a woman, who I presume manages this place, and she asked, "what?" He repeated himself. She again asked what. I turned around and explained my mom has an allergy and I'm just double checking. She looks at me, ignores me, and says back to the man at the counter, "I don't understand the question." He AGAIN repeats himself and she cuts him off to say, loud enough for everyone to hear, "Of course it doesn't have sesame but I can't help what happens in the back." With her face twisted in absolute annoyance. I could NOT believe this reaction. I look at the guy behind the counter and comment on how crazy that reaction was. A woman next in line to me leans over to tell me how she's "mean to everyone." How completely unacceptable. I will never go back to Bagel Train. I'll go to Wawa before I accept such disrespectful,...
