Buenos Aires Bakery & Supermarket in Cape Cod? More like Buenos Aires Bakery & Paradise! From the moment I stepped in, I was swept away by the sunshine-bright atmosphere and the infectious smiles of all the staff. Cleaner than a freshly baked croissant, and warmer than a dulce de leche latte, this place is a feast for all the senses.
And the food? Oh, the food! Forget about plain old pastries; this is a symphony of flavors that'll have you tangoing on your taste buds. The empanadas are little pockets of perfection, bursting with savory fillings and flaky crusts that shatter like happy thunder. You have to try each of the flavors. The alfajores? Melt-in-your-mouth clouds of sweetness, each bite a mini vacation to Argentina. And don't even get me started on the medialunas – buttery, golden masterpieces."
But the real magic lies in the desserts. The dulce de leche cakes are like dreams spun from sugar, rich and creamy. The pastelitos de membrillo are little jewels of fruit and pastry, bursting with sunshine and nostalgia. And the conitos de dulce de leche? Well, let's just say they're the reason I'm considering a permanent Cape Cod residency.
Leaving Buenos Aires Bakery was like waking up from the sweetest dream. My stomach was happy, my heart was full, and my face was plastered with a smile as wide as the Atlantic Ocean. This isn't just a bakery, folks; it's an experience, a taste of Argentina that'll leave you dancing on the beach, singing odes to pastries, and planning your next trip back. So ditch into the flavor fiesta that is Buenos Aires Bakery. Just be warned: you might leave with a sugar rush and a serious case of wanderlust, but trust me, it's a sweetness you'll...
Read moreFor appetizers, we ordered the Argentinian beef and ham and cheese empanadas. Both were delicious. The spinach and cheese empanada was good but not as good as the Argentinian beef or the ham and cheese ones. I would have preferred to get more of the traditional Argentinian beef next time. It was by far the best over the three we tried and it was phenomenal. The plate of onion rings was a good size portion and extremely tasty. We all enjoyed it. For entrees, we had the paella and lomo saltado. Both were delicious, but the lomo saltado was one of the best ones I've had by far. Even my wife said it was the best she's had in a while. I would order the lomo 10 times over every time I come here. The chicken parm was very well portioned, filling, and very tasty. At the end of our meal they offered us a tasty treat, a Spaniard dessert called Panacota. I had never had it but it reminded me of a combination of a chocolate-like flan dessert. It was delicious. I will definitely recommend this place to anybody coming to Cape Cod. I will also make it a routine stop next time we come as we did not have any room left to sample any of their tasty desserts, all of which...
Read moreUnfortunately the food was not good. We came here thinking the food was Argentinian, but it was not. We are from Argentina and was expecting good quality Argentinian food. I believe the owners are from Ecuador, and the food is prepared as such. So the name of the restaurant is very misleading. We ordered a lot of empanadas, alfajores de maicena, and media lunas / croissants. The empanadas were not Argentinian style, cold, and overly greasy. The alfajores are supposed to be a sandwich cookie with a thick layer of dulce de leche in the middle. These ones looked like they had the thick layer of dulce de leche, however it was misleading. The dulce de leche was on the outside only, and there was literally NO dulce de leche in between the cookies. The cookies themselves were way too dry. The only thing we liked were the media lunas, they were pretty decent. We would not return unfortunately. The owner and the young lady that helped us were very nice and friendly, which is why I am giving 3 stars. For food alone my rating...
