We came on a Wednesday at about 1pm, and it took about 40 minutes from being sat to getting our food. We ordered cheese curds for an appetizer, and they never came. The water was awful, and the service was eh...fine. They were not very attentive or kind, but they got the job done. Seemed a little dirty and menus need to be re printed. Lots of stains and wear and tear on them. Also, there are a lot of small grammatical errors like "of" instead of "or". Small stuff. Rabbit is seasonal to the fall. The Buffalo steak is market price, which was $41 for us in June 2024 Elk burger tasted like it was mixed with beef but had good flavor. Asked for medium, medium rare, and they did fairly well, a little overcooked. Coleslaw (in my opinion) was bland and terrible. Fries needed seasoning or salt or something. Trout was cooked and seasoned very well. I would definitely order it again. I really appreciated the salt and pepper grinder at each table. This really makes a flavor difference. Bathrooms were dirty and out of toilet paper. Hand dryer machine only. Asked staff for toilet paper, and about 10 minutes passed, 4 ladies all waiting, and it never came, so I left to go pee elsewhere. You pay in line, no table card services. They have a cash discount. Maybe if i was local i would come back, but my family will be eating elsewhere next time. Accessibility ♿️: 2/5 bad ramp and gravel parking areas. The sink is too high for a wheel chair. No automatic door openers, bathroom could accommodate a wheel chair, but probably nothing motorized. The sink is way too high, and no hand sanitizer is available. Kid friendly: 2/5 There is no changing table or stool or anything like that in the bathroom. They have a kids menu and highchair, but that's where it stops.

I truly wish I could give a better review. From start to finish, everything was lacking. Upon entering the restaurant, I took notice of the daily special. Once we were seated, we waited 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. At this point we were ready to order. The server seemed flustered about this. Most restaurants start out by offering a run down of their specials. Didn't happen. We placed our order. I chose the fried chicken special that came with two sides and bean bread. I inquired about the chicken. Was it white or dark meat, combo of both? Our server said she "thought" it was white meat (chicken breast). I then told her which sides I would like. My husband chose the Indian fry bread taco. It literally took 45 minutes for our food to be brought to our table. First, the server brought one plate of food and sat it in front of my husband and walked away. Not only was she serving one of us at a time, it was not what my husband ordered. She brought him country fried steak. As she walked back by our table from taking an order from the table behind us, I stopped her to let her know she brought the wrong food to our table. She immediately looked confused, scooped the plate up and said "I'm sorry that is for another table ". Once again she stopped by our table on her way back through and started fumbling through her book of orders. She went over our order and walked away. Some time later, our food was finally brought out to our table. My plate first, then a couple minutes later my husband's plate. The only thing hot on my plate was one side. My chicken and the other side was barely warm. And, I had to ask for my bean bread. That took a few minutes for her to bring cold bean bread to our table. During the course of our dinner, not once were we offered refills on our drinks. Once we finished dinner we had to stop her to ask for the check and a to go box. Those were the only things brought promptly to our table. Also, our check was brought to us without even asking if we would like dessert. I inquired about their cakes. She did not have any idea what kind of cakes were in the display shelf. While there, we witnessed one older couple looking very frustrated at the length of time it was taking to get their meal. Once it was brought to them, they had to get their servers attention to bring them cutlery. I also overheard two other tables have to ask for cutlery. There were 4 servers inside and 2 outside. The restaurant was a little busy, but not so busy to validate such terrible service and sub par food. We also overheard other servers rudely telling customers as they stepped inside that they could be seated but the wait time for their food would be 45 minutes. This experience is the fault of management...

We ate here Saturday evening around 7:30. My husband and I walked in to ask how long the wait for our family would be and they stated we could be seated immediately. So we stayed. We were sat immediately however it took about 10-15 minutes for the host to come tell us it would be just a fee minutes when they could get our order. We said ok, that was fine. She finally came back about 20 minutes later to get our drink order. Drinks came 10 minutes later. She returned another 15 minutes later to take our order. I got 2 shareables (fried green tomatoes and corn nuggets). Shareables came out about 10 minutes later. We waited over an hour for our meals and my youngest was getting squirmy and mad, everyone else annoyed so I asked for our meals to go. Waitress stated they were actually ready now so I said ok then we will go ahead and eat there. 10 minutes later 4 meals arrived, still missing 3. Waitress apologized and said just a mimute on the others (2 elk burgers and hotdog). By the time the last 3 meals arrived, everyone else in our party had already ate. We got to-go boxes for the last 3 meals and left. Was $210 for everything. Never got silverware the entire time, never got refills or even asked, never got butter or sour cream for baked potatoes (asked for these 3x). There was an older lady there at the same time as us with 3 little kids. She left when we did since they had only received drinks and was still waiting on food. She told them she was there 1.5 hours waiting on food to arrived and couldn't wait any longer. Those kids were crying, hungry, out of drink and the waitress still had the nerve to ask for a tip. Will NEVER eat there again. I do not believe it was lack of employees either because 1.They were not busy. They had 3 waitresses, 2 people cleaning tables, and I could see at least 3 people in the kitchen. Most of the employees kept talking to each other or on the phone...

Service was terrible!! We went at 4:10 in the afternoon so the place was not busy. We ended up spending 2 hours of our time with them. First we were seated and then it took our waitress 20 minutes to even take our drink order. Another 10 minutes and she finally brought the drinks to our table, spilling 3 of them barely missing 2 people in our party. It took another hour to get our food. The food was ok but we had no napkins or silverware to eat with. I went up to the counter and had to ask for silverware and napkins. I was totally ignored for about 3 minutes while two of the wait staff talked among themselves. One person in our party ordered the country steak dinner, it looked like it came out of a TV dinner. He ordered a salad and baked potato. The menu said baked potatoes were available after 4 by now it was 5:30 and they gave him a few French fries and said they were out of baked potatoes. They did not even give him an option of a substitute. Two people ordered salads and I had to ask for them. They finally brought them out after everyone was through eating. All the salad consisted of was lettuce, cheese, and a couple of cherry tomatoes but it took over an hour and 15 minutes to make. The final straw was when she brought the ticket to the table and was talking on her phone to her daughter. If you don't want to be polite to your customers then find another job. She also added a tip to our ticket because we had six people in our party. She added 20% for our wonderful service which was worth 2% let alone 20%. Also the other family was overcharged for a kids meal which she tried to say was because they had a drink. The menu stated free kids drinks and 4 were not charged but one was. They finally adjusted the ticket. My advise is to check your tickets for overcharging and unless you have several hours to blow on very poor service then DO...
