Costco Food Court — Restaurant in Yorba Linda

I would give this no stars if it were possible for reviewing. This evening I ordered a pizza for me and my spouse. I was on the phone for all of 30 seconds and was given no total nor any directions for picking the pizza up by the young woman on the phone. I was simply told that it would be ready in 15 mins and hung up on... i drove from my house to this costco and waited by the pick up window after a few customers I finally made it to the window. I said hello to Christopher at the window and he acknowledged me but proceeded to another conversation happening in the building. He finally acknowledged me again and I told him I had ordered a pizza 20 minutes ago at this point. He got the pizza for me and handed it to me through the window. Then he asked me for my receipt I told him I needed to pay still and at this point had my wallet out. He grabbed the pizza from my hands and took it back inside the building and proceeded to tell me I needed to pay inside of the Costco or wait in a line on the other end (the order here side). He would not accept my payment. I would have not had a problem if this wasn't a 25min wait time. This was beyond ridiculous a request because I called ahead of time to avoid this whole situation. After leaving the window I was mocked by the team mates in there for my wife in the car saw their laughing and pointing at my dismay. Tell me is this normal or right policy? And the behavior that too...

Outdoor food court for Costco members only. They take cash or card but you must have your Costco membership ID with you to purchase anything. They offer seating with umbrellas for shade but it can get busy especially during the weekend lunch rush.

How can you not love their hotdog + soft drink combo for $1.50?! Their mocha freezes are also bomb. But, ever since COVID, some things remain forever changed - their condiment options are limited and they no longer sell the combo (meat with veggies) pizza. I'm not sure what it is as I'm generally not a huge pizza fan but I absolutely love their pizza crust here...soft and doughy!

But be forewarned - their lines can be long and ridiculously slow during the weekend lunch rush.

Update October 2023: They now have a self-serve kiosk where you purchase your food in advance. Then they USED to call out numbers to pick up your food. Thought it was a good, efficient process that other Costco locations have started using (some even years prior) but they should have had a loudspeaker as it was hard to hear. Now, they've changed the process to where you purchase your meal at the kiosk then wait in line to pick up your food. Not sure why Costco changed the process to a less-efficient, more time-consuming process of waiting in line twice....

Everything on the menu is more expensive now except for the hot dog. The chicken bake is $3.99 instead of $2.99. They replaced the chicken caesar salad with a worse version called the rotisserie chicken salad for $6.99. You can go inside the store and buy an entire rotisserie chicken for less than that. This new salad no longer has tomatoes when the old one came with cherry tomatoes. They replaced the yogurt with ice cream and raised the price. There are no longer onions available to put on the hot dogs, so there's no point buying one. And finally, they now require you to show your membership card before letting you buy something. I do have a Costco membership, but it feels ridiculous to have to pay a yearly subscription to eat at...
