Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in York Township

Let me start by saying I myself am a business owner this would never ever happen!!!I am veteran! Today 9/11/23 (9/11)I ordered a Giant portbello mushroom cheese steak . When I got home I ate half of 1 side of the 2 cut steak sandwich before I realized there wasn’t any steak on my sandwich. I called the store, they said bring it back and we will recook. I asked could the atleast start making it so I would have to wait. They refused and said it would only take two minutes. Right then and there I should known it would be problem cause we all know it takes longer. But I took sang which back. She came out and Troyes to make like it was my fault and I ordered the wrong sub. She the one I ordered was new and not on the menu yet. No I told the person what I wanted they took upon their self to assume that’s what I wanted. I know I have had this sun 3 times and have ordered it online. She the proceeds to make me a sub without asking what I wanted on it. So I had to walk up to her and say do you know what I had on it? She said know I know the menu says. I said that’s not exactly how I want it.She makes the sub and only brings me a half of sub. I said mam, I ordered and paid for a giant sub. She said you only bring back half. I said no I bought you back a what I didn’t eat and the other half. I said look in the bag.She refused to look and threatened to call the police on me. Like I was trying to steal something I paid for!😡😡😡😡 When she accused me of basically stealing and threatening to call the police. I did tell what she was worth and how the stole from. I said I want to sleep to a manager, she says she is owner. I said I would like a cooperate number. She there isn’t one. Her manager stepped in yelling at me, I said I am not talk to you, she said she is the owner so I am talking to the owner.I am business owner/a veteran/ and black man. So to be accused of trying to steal a half of sub and threatening to call the police on me is beyond ignorant. I hope no one ever had to deal with what I dealt with in this store. I have never been treated like that in my life. I beg everyone before you decide to purchase anything from this store, you think about the treatment of your veterans. By the way I had to leave with the wrong sub and half she cooked. At least my dogs got to eat the bad one. So all in all she stole from me because I paid for a Giant and received a half of sub. 😡😡😡😡 Sad thing is this 9/11 and we should be pulling together...

Although a chain, it began from their roots in Jersey before the owners realized their reputation for passion, quality, and incredible customer service, and made the correct decision to expand; with keeping the same high standards as a local sub shop.

I've never had a bad experience here. The only minor issue I've had was with a few network delays with online ordering (in which was not the fault of the establishment... Yet they apologized, despite no fault of their own doing, and made the experience memorable with expedited service).

-Sliced meats to order which can take some time but absolutely worth the effort.

-Incredible bread, in which can make or break a sub shop; these guys nailed it.

-Absurdly friendly staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and appreciated for visiting.

Final thoughts: High quality food takes time. This franchise and staff makes sandwiches that should take forever for such a high quality, and essentially from scratch, accomplish such in mere minutes. Mike's turns lunch or dinner into an experience, rather than a reasonably priced meal deemed "fast food". I absolutely hate using the term fast food for an establishment of such high quality but they are absolutely redefining the coined term. Mike's highly worth the visit.
