So I stopped into the Taco Bell at 2054 South Queen St in York PA. I have not been to a Taco Bell in years because I was never really impressed with the quality of the food. But I deliver Grubhub as one of my many jobs and pick up a ton from Grubhub and hear everyone rave about it. So I was doing a drop off right near this newly remodeled location and thought I would give it a try. First impression I will have to say the new decor and appearance as I walked up is impressive. I was quickly greeted by a young man named Travis who was not only friendly but enthusiastic about me using the kiosk to order and said if I had any questions let him know. I went to the kiosk to order and I have to say that is much easier than standing in a long line looking up at the menu and having questions. The kiosk breaks it down into sections and has pictures and makes it easy for anybody to order(one complaint , I have friends and family in the area that speak other languages and did not see a feature to change the languauge) . I ordered double decker taco, veggie burrito, beefy mini Quesadilla, fiery Doritio Loco Taco and my drink and my total was $8.76 which I thought was great for lunch. Lucas took my cash payment at the counter and I went to enjoy my food. I will say my opinion has changed I am a fan now. All of my items were hot, the lettuce was cold and crisp there was the perfect balance of cheese to meat ratio. My only complaint about the food would be the the bean mixture on the veggie burrito seemed bland and lacked flavor, but the Diablo sauce took care of that. As I was dining Travis checked on me and asked how everything was and if ordering from the kiosk was an enjoyable experience as I found out I was the first guest to use it. I told him how easy it was. I finished my meal and on the way out Travis was cleaning the parking lot and getting trash changed over he thanked me for coming in, invited me back and said have a great day sir. Those interactions with Travis made the whole visit that much better. I have went places with decent food and bad service and that brings it down. So KUDOS to Travis and thank him for making my experience better and I...
Read morePlaced an order through the app, got there about 10 mins later. App says my food is still being made so I have a seat. They're not too busy so after 5 or 6 minutes, I go up to the counter since I only got 3 tacos. I see my name on an open bag and try to make eye contact with any of the staff, it's about 2 more minutes of standing at the counter before I am able to get the order maker's attention.
I ask him if that order is finished (pointing to my bag). He grabs it and lightly tosses it on the counter and goes back to making orders without saying a word.
Customer service isn't difficult and this isn't the first time I've been underwhelmed at this location on Queen St.
Bagged orders should be closed to preserve heat (although I wish all food establishments would keep them in warmers or under heat lamps like most pizza places do).
If any customers approach the counter, you should inquire if they need assistance.
Smiling and being friendly is the simplest thing to do as far as customer service, I got none here.
I selected 3 packets of fire sauce in the app, although I don't know why because they were not in the bag and I had to grab them myself, good thing I checked before leaving.
Finished orders should be called out to the lobby every few minutes, there was no need for me to wait anywhere near as long as I did (since it wasn't that busy). Good thing I didn't wait longer to check on my order.
Tell the customers to have a good day or thank them for their business. They're the ones that keep the doors open and paychecks coming.
My order was marked complete and ready for pickup in the app about 5 minutes after I left.
Experiences like this are why I only go there twice a year instead of twice a month.
After I warmed up my meal (it was still warm by the time I got home), it was phenomenal, absolutely delicious.
I've managed many teams and food establishments over the years, I would love to see improvements here to make this a 5...
Read moreAbsolutely HORRIBLE location!!! This location has been going downhill progressively over the last couple years. We went tonight at 6:30pm, there was only one car in front of us & they were taken care of quickly. Our order however took FOREVER! Most of that was due to the person who was supposed to be working the drive through. We watched her talking to someone, then walked out into the restaurant, talked to the same man, walk back, messed with some things and finally came back to the window. She then says "Didn't they give you your order?" When I said no she just shook her head. She proceeded to give the employee who made our food attitude for putting all our food in one bag, took it all out & re-bagged it. At this point, our food had been sitting on the counter for about 5 mins. On to the food... I tried to order a Mexican Pizza & was told they were out of shells??!! Instead, ordered Nacho Bell Grande w/extra beef. What I got was more like nacho mush. ALL the chips were soft & soggy. There was hardly any beef (or cheese & sour cream for that matter). Most of the topping was refried beans. Also ordered 12 pack of tacos (6 soft & 6 crunchy). The soft tacos were fine; however, the crunchy tacos were awful. There was maybe 1/2" of meat (that may be me being a bit generous), a little cheese & the rest was lettuce. The bottom 2" of the shells were so soggy they fell apart when trying to pick them up. Attempted to eat one and it fell apart so easily and was so disgusting we ended up throwing them all away. We will NEVER go to this location...
