I've lived here for a year and finally got around to driving through the entire Yuma Palms area just to see all of the stores there. I had no idea there were that many stores there!
There are signs up along Interstate 8 declaring Yuma Palms as a hidden gem, and I'm inclined to agree. It's amazing how far back and around the place goes, and it covers a LOT of real estate. You're going to want to drive from parking lot to parking lot because it's just too spread out to walk. It's not a strip mall, it's a maze (that's the one downside) with parking and shopping everywhere. Tons of anchor stores and smaller places as well. Something for everyone, and it's great to end with a visit to Hobby Lobby and Sportsman's Warehouse at the far end of the layout.
It's a great place and regardless whether you're looking to do some window shopping or if you're hunting for something in particular, there's a very good chance you'll find it...
Read moreIt's really Chili's that I don't like. Went there when they first opened, the food was way overcooked , even after they re-cooked it it was overcooked. The service was actually terrible and the manager was apparently overwhelmed. So years later a benefit was being held for a local group (last night ) so we went to show our support. The service was outstanding, but the food was exactly the same. Perhaps it's me, are onion rings supposed to be like a potato chip? I like mine crispy on the outside but a little juicy on the inside. They prepare them so that they are like soooo cooked that they are weightless, like a potato chip. Presentation is an A+ but food quality is poor. Of the pictures I shared here the ribs, shrimp and rice were delicious. The dried out beef and chicken we brought home for the dogs. The condiment tray was excellent, but everything else went to the garbage. $50 I'd like to...
Read moreAside from this being an outdoor mall in the Sunniest City on Earth, it's not too bad. The selection is always changing and, at times, the mall is slim pickins', but you're sure to find just about anything you may be looking for, year 'round. It isn't Amazon, but with stores like Marshall's, Ross, and Bealls, it's close. Pretty bummed when JoAnn closed, but with those prices, I wasn't shocked. Thrilled to be getting an Ulta, though. Sephora used to be a fave but it's a small store, with few selections, and the last time I was in there, I literally spent $44 for 2 travel sized items. Could use more specialty stores like a Victoria's Secret, Casual Male XL, Guitar Center, Under Armour, another sporting goods store like Dick's, etc. And it could definitely use some more shade for shoppers to get from one store to another. But it's a popular...
